How do you get food companies to send you free stuff?

Many give samples. I just got kashi cereal in the mail. Fiber one cereal and an oats and choclate bar not too long ago. I've gotten an entire box of pasta in the mail as a sample, crystal light packets, and quaker granola bars. That's the only way though that I can think of.

I've only had them send coupons for discounts - not actual food.  I write to sing the praises of their item and they usually respond with coupons.  I just did that with pita chips and got 6  50 cent off coupons.  I was hoping for a free bag!

ask.  reply to the promos and allow their  junk mail.  nothin' is free; everyone wants and wants for something.  imo, not worth the hassle.  if i want to try "it" i will buy a sample size or the regular size.  if it tastes like garbage, I will toss it.

Google free samples there are tons of companies giving away free samples. Sometimes you will have to fill out a survey or sign up for an email. But be aware once they get your name and address you could easily wind up on mailing lists, not just for that companies products but others as well, so if you dont' want lots of junk mail, you might want to be selective.

Read the fine print, there are some not so free free offers.

I've got tons of free stuff, just cause I like getting free crap in the mail

You can always make a new email just for things like that where you know they'll be putting you on mailing lists and give you tons of junk mail. That way it doesn't clutter your regular inbox.
