What food have you completely stopped eating?
Just curious

I would eat fast food if there was no other food available, but so far that hasn't been the case
I strongly prefer not to eat fast food. For my health, my digestion, and because it doesn't taste good to me anymore.

I haven't totally restricted any food from my diet because I find that's a sure-fire way for me to fail! :)
What I try to do is incorporate healthier choices into every meal or snack... and if I'm craving chips or cheesecake or McDonald's or what-have-you, I don't over-indulge and I make up for it by exercising a little more or balancing the rest of my meals throughout the day.
What you might find is that as your body and mind get used to a healthier lifestyle, you might not like the taste or what that food does to your body... and after a while, the cravings might even be completely gone.

see, and I LIKE to eat a piece of pizza now and then, and I definitely grab a junior bacon cheeseburger. The downside to fast food is it's so *small* for the amount of calories, so I really have to load up on salad to feel full the rest of the day and still stay under my limit.
But no food is 100% off limits- it's just a matter of getting the ratios of carb/fat/protein to a point where you're happy, and staying within your calorie range. I totally ate only pizza and fast food and MAJOR CRAP for a solid week and still lost 2 pounds cause I watched how many cals I took in, and I exercised.

I'm pretty much stopped eating Mickey Ds, but I'll still go to Subway and, occasionally, Boston Market.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. They're just not worth it.
I've never been a fast food eater, but I can still down half a pizza. I would never have realized that one pizza meal could take up all of your calories for the day. But, that one I think IS worth it.

mmm you are going to hate me saying this...but im not tempted to eat unhealthily so i didn't have to give up anything. i am vegan though, so that really narrows down the list of foods you "can" eat anyway.
i haven't eaten fast food since I was fed by my parents (prior to the age of 9 or 10). I've eaten the same things all of the time since then. when i go through vegetarian as opposed to vegan eating, i do eat chocolate. so i guess that would be one of the things i had to give up.

As I have been making the switch to healthier, unprocessed whole foods, I have found the fast foods and processed foods are not tasting all that good to me anymore. I also made a pact with myself that I would not continue to eat something that doesn't taste good to me, whether it's a health food, fast food, or a junk food. I pay more attention now to taste, and it helps prevent that mindless eating. Subway and Wendy's (grilled chicken sandwich) are pretty much the only fast food places I go to.
trans fats and high fructose corn syrup
High fructose corn syrup (jump started my healthier eating days once I found out I'm allergic to it too....lost about 10 lbs 2 years ago by cutting out soda & food with HFCS).
Trans fats and cured meats. I've cut back corn syrup, refined sugar and flour, salt, caffeine, and red meats.
I've increased my consumption of un processed foods.

I haven't stopped eating anything. Everything in moderation is my motto! Instead of 1/2 a pizza, I only eat 1 or two slices calories permitting of course! Also, I stopped eating pizza every weekend. Now it's more like once a month sometimes less.
Although, I must say I haven't eaten McDonalds for quite sometime ( with the exception of a vanilla cone I ate last week, but no fries or chicken strips for what seems like forever!).

I gave up Mickey D's too, but for unrelated and altogether more scary reasons.
I give up Mc D and Burger King, those kind of thing since years ago. I still take one or two strings of the french fries sometimes, but barely eat red meat or hamburger no more (except if that was made from tofu)
have they proven yet that *Mc's Supper club* is actually meat? ~ Lost
Oh and I gave up deep fried things in breading.

My weakness is Chinese food. A friend of mine frequent and all-you-can-eat buffet where the food is actually sensational. Very bad for the waistline, however. At the time, we were in the habit of hitting there twice a week, and on other days of the week I would go get take-out from there. (They let you fill up a carton and then they charge you by how weight). And sometimes I went to other Chinese take-out places. I could eat Chinese food every meal every day. So yeah...my Chinese food fixation has been one of the first casualties of my new eating plan. However...since I started my new, healthier way of eating, my friend and I have gone to the buffet once. I gave myself a little leeway that particular day since I had been so strict with myself on other days, but I was careful not to overdo it. I find that I'm fuller much faster anyway, so it's not the feast it used to be. I realize that I have to allow myself this indulgence once in a while...the all or nothing approach will not work for me, I'd feel like I was being punished and deprived, and then next thing I'd know I'd be back with my old habits.
umm i use to be basically addicted to fast food. now whenever i eat out its usually subway, and if my friends decide to go to burger king or mc d's then i usually get a grilled chicken sandwich or a salad. i've definately given up fries....there are just way too many cals. if i eat them anymore, i feel gross.
I haven't had a soda (diet or regular) in over a year so I can safely say I've cut that out of my eating. At McDonald's, I used to eat their double cheese burgers and stuff. Then after I gave up those I went to their chicken sandwiches (first from crispy then to grilled). Then I made my way to just eating their grilled chicken cesear(sp?) salads without dressing and maybe a parfait. I can't even deal with the smell of McD's fries without almost barfing now. :)
I don't have "banned" foods, but I don't eat fried food be/c 1) I'm veg, and 2) It makes me feel sick-too heavy.
When I was working on weight loss (maintaining now), I cut out most dairy -- no cheese, milk or butter. I did still have the healthier dairy like cottage cheese and yogurt. I also stopped eating rice and pasta -- not too hard since I was never a big fan in the first place. =)
Stopped eating at Mc d's and bk, trying to cut as much trans fat as possible. but moderation is more what I shoot for.
There is an all you can eat place in town that I still go to, I'll usually drop an extra pound or two before I go and then have to watch myself (in other words starve) for couple days, but boy is it worth it to eat some of their desserts.
