Food discoveries that were super disappointing when you expected greatness!

So anyone recently eat something ( new or something you haven't had in a while) that you were really looking forward too but ended up being disappointed by it?

Mine recently was Donato's pizza. I work at a hotel and some pizza places give us coupons for free pizza for giving them business. Last week a friend and I ordered a pizza on our shift. I had been craving pizza for a month! I totally forgot they cut their pizza into strips and not regular triangle pieces Frown. I felt like I was eating bread sticks with sauce and cheese, not a piece of pizza! It was also so greasy and really not that good. I was so upset! I wanted pizza so bad and it wasn't good at all!!The pizza was half peperoni and half plain. I'm a veg and ate the plain. My friend had the peperoni side. She ended up with food poising from it! So disappointing!!

Another one is those new Cinnabon snack bars (I got the caramel ones). I saw them on sale at the store. I figured why no they are under 2 bucks for a box of 8. Each bar is 37 grams. When I unwrapped one it looked WAY smaller than that! My beloved chex mix bars are the same size gram wise but seem much bigger! It also did not taste thatgreat! For 150 calories I was hoping it would be a good cinnamon roll substitute but it was not! Sigh it's sad when you are dissapointed by food you really were excited about! Lol!!

Almond Butter. I had heard great things about it so I bought a jar, which was quite pricey btw. I put it on toast one morning and after that sent it to work with my mom.

Kashi Oatmeal Raisin cookies. I love Kashi, so when I saw they made cookies I was super excited. I thought they tasted quite dry and floury.

Kashi lasagna frozen meal. It was OK. Nothing to write home about.

Trader Joes Crunchy PB. Dont know what I was expecting but it didnt taste any different than my usual Maranatha.

Baskin Robbins Ice cream. I got Gold medal ribbon, jamoca almond, and snickers. Jamoca Almond was the only one that was even remotely tasty.

Godiva Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate. It was really chalky. Gross.

A Cuba wrap from Javana/Havana, however you spell it. It didnt have much flavor and they put sour cream in a design on the top so it was really messy to pick up. Also their Havana rice was just yellow rice, absolutely no flavor.

I guess you could say I'm a bit of a food snob. Lol. I get dissapointed easily.

The Lemon Chicken entree from The Rock Bottom Brewery.  It was so bad that my stomach is turning in discust as I type!  I took one bite and felt like I downed a bottle of pine sol!  BLUGH!!!!  I had to send it back.  Then I didn't want to eat anything else from there.  Haven't gone back since!

Ginger & yam flax roll: sounded so yummy but tasted like ginger cardboard. yuk

ashley, while the Kashi lasagna isn't great, the Trader Joe's roasted vegetable lasagna is definitely something to write home about.  I'm a carnivore and I buy it more than anything else.

Twinkies...a memory best left to childhood.

PB2.  It tastes alright but its still no substitute for complete peanut butter.  I'd rather use a half a tbs of real pb than spend time mixing up 2 tbs of PB2

Also shirataki noodles. I was super pumped when I heard how low cal they were, but when I made them, I actually couldnt finish them. Something about the texture freaked me out. I was so looking forward to cutting out alot of calories.

And i'll have to try that Trader Joe's lasagna.

Btw, I tried the dark chocolate. Mmmmm. :]] Then again, I've never really met a piece of dark chocolate I didnt like. Lol. :]

I bought Walden Farms Ketchup once thinking it would be good - HA! - boy was I wrong! It was so rank, I had the tiniest try and threw it out immediately! It was a complete and total waste of money!!!!! BUT I did find the BEST ketchup replacement: heinz reduce sugar ketchup - totally amazing & delicious!!!! WOAH!

I am trying to cut out sugar everywhere and realized yoplait light had a lot of sugar. So, I picked up Dannon Fat Free plain yogurt. I added some splenda to it because it tasted kinda sour like Fage yogurt. Ew, it was so gritty and gross. I couldn't finish it

Fiber One cereal. It's like eating dirt. It looks like bird feed...

I loved those Cinnabon snack bars, but I must say they are pretty damn small and definitely not worth 150 calories!

Those Vita brownie things ... first time I had one it tasted great! That's probably because it had been about a week since I had chocolate of any kind. I ate another a couple of nights ago and it was so disappointing. I noticed they have this funny smell and taste and leave a bad after-taste. Not buying those again!
