Every day! I even pre-weigh the ones I take to work as snacks.
I do the same, i live by the scale now.  I also pre-weigh snacks out.  but i weigh and measure Everything out (since its easy for me to add more then i need because it tastes good) so my scale really helps me stay on track. 

I have a scale but I am not sure how to use it. Do you weigh food and convert to calories? I would love to start but I am not sure how to. 

How to use it..... Yes, weigh the portion and log the calories in the CC food log.  For example, if you want a portion of pasta... weigh out 2oz before cooking (that's plenty).  Find 'spaghetti' in the database, click the 'add to food log' button and either use the drop-down menus to find the right portion size or click the 'oz' and enter 2.   The food log will then show 'spaghetti... 200 cals'.

CC also has a very good recipe analyser where you can enter the ingredients of favourite dishes that you're going to cook frequently and get a full nutritional analysis.  That's worth checking out as well.
