Why are the food suggestions basically the same as what I am eating?  For example, I eat grapes, it suggests grapes.  I eat blueberries, it suggests blueberries.  Not very helpful if it is going to suggest what I am already eating. :(

I've been wondering that too.  I eat a banana every morning for lunch, and one of my recommendations is......bananas!  Wow!

And I also use skim milk every morning in my cereal, and the recommendation is for 2% milk.  Why in the world would I want to go to something with a higher calorie and fat content?

Yea I don't like the suggestions either.  I have fresh spinach salad 2-3 times a day and it always suggest frozen cooked with salt-- I already have too much sodium in my diet and don't want to cook my spinach in salt !!!

I dont get it either. I like coffee and use the regular coffee mate powder and it suggest something similar but it has a higher calorie count. Personal there are at times no substitute for the real thing like .....coffee mate vs. generic powdered creamer.

I like the food suggestion, but maybe it should suggest something that would help make my menu more instresting instead

This site isn't very good at tracking things like sodium, calcium, cholesterol. Even the things it does track, like fiber, don't seem to show up in the food recommendations. There is no way to say, "calcium is important to me, please track it, and figure it in to my food recommendations." So far, the recommendations seem fairly useless. Who knows, though, perhaps they'll get better with time, since they will learn more and more about what foods I eat. It will be interesting to see if they change over time with more food log entries. Also, as their algorithms get more sophisticated. Let's hope their algorithms get more sophisticated.
