No food after work
I get off work at 5:30 and I'm usually famished. I usually get home around 6 and eat...but today I have to go somewhere any suggestions on what I should get on the way....or eat?
If I don't eat- I'll basically bite someone's head off...

Look online at the restaurants in your area where you can grab something. It is easier when you look up the nutritional information before hand and can accommodate it into your diet. Subway has some really healthier options for fast food if you have to stop quickly. Plus instead of chips get the apples or raisins. That way you can still eat before you go somewhere. It is always good to look up the information before hand if you can't run home and grab a salad or something to tie you over.
Stop by a grocery store.
Things I like:
The little packet of boiled eggs (2 eggs)
apple
Banana
Bell pepper
String cheese sold in indiv. packets
Cottage cheese in indiv packets
Lucerne yogurts (the low fat will be more filling, trust me on this one)
Indivi. servings chocolate milk (just to get crazy)
Stick to the outter edge of the store and you can't go wrong. This is also usually faster than a restaurant.
(By the way I am not suggesting you eat all of these things at once, just one or two of these options.)
How about a Subway sandwhich?
if it is a snack, I would go for a cottage cheese and buy some berries and eat it until I finish what I have to do then go home and prepare a light dinner.
Today I had the same problem, so I pre-sliced some veggies like carrots and zucchini, and brought along a little dip container with a couple of tbsp of hummus. The healthy fat and protein tided me over until I could get home to eat (which I'm doing now. mmm...)
you can always go to the grocery store on the way and pick up one of those premade salads that come in the plastic containers.
they're fresh,and healthy.
Wendy's baked potato (as long as you don't load it up) are a pretty good on the road option.
