If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they have some really incredible snacks.. they have low calorie popcorn (2.5 cups of it are 120 calories), etc.  Also, you can pack a PB&J sandwich, but just make sure the peanut butter is measured to 2 tablespoons or you may be eating a lot more calories than you were hoping for.  Uncrustables are really good, but I don't know how many calories are in them.  But they taste incredible.

Bananas, Apples, and pre-portioned nuts like almonds and walnuts are great to eat on the go and they are good for you as well.

Wow, I just realized that now that I'm watching what I eat, I'm going to have this problem too.

Pre portioned bags of fruits (grapes, blueberries, etc.)

Bananas, apples (no apples for me though, I'm allergicLaughing)

Celery and carrot sticks (may have to forfeit the dressing due to becoming a mess. I remember taking salads with dressing to school and having a huge oozy mess in my locker)

Oh yes, and lite swiss cheese and turkey roll ups (I love these and could make a lunch out of them)

These are all simple easy things that we could take...good luck, we'll both be needing it!

hmmm... i tend to try to keep unparishable foods in my locker so i dont feel harrassed into eating them.

sometimes i'll leave a few granola bars (circa 140 cal) in my locker, weather they be from south beach diet or kashi.

they come in handy on some days.

:]

I have a food drawer in my desk, here are some things I keep:

Fiber One makes some pretty yummy bars

Kellogs' brand Fiber Plus Antioxidants bars - there are some yummy Dark Chocolate Almond ones I eat when I get a chocolate craving (130 cals)

Peanut Butter and Crackers (190-220 cals) - these are the pre-packaged ones

100 calorie snack packs (salty or sweet)

fruit snacks (100 cals per pack)

all natural apple sauce (50 cals) and it doesn't need to be kept in the fridge, so it'll be okay in your locker.

Hope this helps... good luck!

I seem to remember keeping joghurt covered raisins in my locker when I was in school and also a ziploc with pre-measured cereal (Cheerios).

I'm looking at my snack stash here at work, and it contains the following:

-fresh fruit (cherries, grapefruit sections)

-a slice of cheese (will keep just fine without refrigeration for a day or two, has lots of calcium, and the protein will help keep you energetic)

-unsalted, unroasted pistachio nuts (the food of the Gods, full of good fats and protein, and that toasty piney taste!)

-Fage greek yogurt (will also keep just fine without refrig for a day, lots of protein and calcium like cheese)

-Ry-Krisp crackers, seasoned (you can also keep a few slices of whole-grain bread in your locker to eat with cheese or fruit)

Hope that's helpful!

Snacks:

- Popcorn (just pop a bag and bring it in a ziplock). So much healthier when you make your own at home.

- Cherrios! Just baggy out a portion. Multigrain ones are awesome to snack on

- Rice Cakes (love em - Especially the caramel ones)

- Granola bars

- Fruit leather (Trader Joes)

- Vitatop's (gotta bring them in on the day you want to snack)

- Oatmeal (if you have a place to heat it up)

- Apples, Oranges, Bananas (depending on where you live. If it's in AZ, just don't)

For Lunch you might want to bring a little ice cooler and pack whatever for the day. But I'm pretty sure you were asking for "snacks"

Apples, whole-grain protein/snack bars, nuts, dried fruits, whole grain pretzels. (:

  • fresh fruit
  • raw veggies (baby carrots, etc)
  • you can dip veggies or fruit in these little pre-portioned containers of peanut butter for extra protein & healthy fats
  • trail mix
  • nuts or seeds
  • fiber one bar
  • fill a ziplock bag with cereal (try kashi golean or another cereal high in protein & fiber)
  • mini (aprox. 100 calorie) protein bar
  • WATER BOTTLE
