it's not "high-calorie" per se, but it has WAY more calories than i thought (more than 1 calorie per gram).. i was pretty shocked :|

well last night I was shopping in the frozen foods section, came across some organic enchiladas and decided to look at them cause they were cheap....HOLY SNOT! 33 grams of fat and 18 grams saturated in one tiny box! no thanks! just because it's organic does NOT mean it's low fat!

I think I had an inkling about all these, but didn't look properly at serving sizes, then one by one had some epiphanies...

Dried fruit! At one point I could eat about 300g raisins in one sitting! Or dried apricots, or worse...yoghurt raisins!

Peanut butter! Labelled 95 cals per tablespoon serving, but I like to really pile it on toast! Nowadays I still do, but only have it occasionally and call it 300 cals!

Muesli...until a couple of years ago I'd eat a big bowl FULL of it! Probably at least 800!

At my school, I'm in a class where we sell cookies, and the other day we decided to finally look up how many calories our warm, melty Otis Spunkmeyer cookies were.

I was thrilled to find out that my favorite, the double chocolate brownie cookies wer eonly 150 calories for two (as opposed to my imagined amount) and the Chocolate chip topped it at 250.

It makes me wonder if the peopel at out school buying these have any idea how many caloies they put into their bodies?
We sell 60 in an hour, easily.

Nuts, for sure. Who knew peanut butter had so many calories?
