- something besides veggies & dip & hummus
Jerky of any kind, you could make your own party mix with healthy cereal, nuts and stuff, string cheese/cheese cubes w/crackers or mini toasts, or sliced fruits.
I like to make popcorn...I just take the plain kernels and put them in a brown paper bag with some salt. If you throw a little sugar in there it comes out more like kettle corn. Salsa or guacamole is always good too, and I like to dip veggies in instead of chips.
Salsa or guacamole with veggies is a good idea. Bean dip with baked tortilla chips is yummy also. I've also made a low-fat dip with low fat or fat free cream cheese & sour cream, mixed with a packet of taco seasoning. Spread on a pie plate, then top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, jalapenos - whatever you like on your tacos. You could even do a layer of salsa or taco sauce and some shredded cheese if you can spare the calories. Eat with baked tortilla chips or veggies.
You could make some boneless, skinless chicken "wings" with chicken tenders dipped in hot sauce with low fat ranch or blue cheese and celery sticks.
