Would You Do It?
Would you sacrifice 10 years of your life if you could have the "perfect" body? Why/Why not?
Edit: To make things clear, the 10 years would come off at the end of your life. For example, if you were "supposed" to live 80 years and you decide to sacrifice the 10 years, you will now live only 70 years. Also, you would have this "perfect" body up until your death.
Me neither, I'd have nothing to moan about apart from the weather ![]()
No hesitation whatsoever to say "No way!"
I think anyone that did would regret it. If you are type of person that is so unhappy within themselves about the way they look, then even doing such a thing, they would still find something that they were unhappy with.
No matter what you look like, you have to be at peace with who you are. If you are not the most attractive person in the world, to accept that is to be at peace. If you are not happy with your weight, that is a little different, you can do something about that, and doing so will actually more than likely give you MORE life by being healthy, not less.
Don't even need to think about it; no. I could get the perfect body if I worked at it anyway. No way I'd sacrifice any amount of years for that.
It usually takes 1 to 2 years to get the perfect body.
the sacrifices you do to get there are so small. And it involves changing habits.
So the answer is NO
Take matters to your own hand and get the perfect body. Don't daydream.
nope; when you die what good is a body? Losing 10 years over something that doesnt have a purpose when you die. + I dont want to die 10 earlier,
going against the grain and saying YES!
i never had any plans to be old and gross anyway

What a sad, sad response.
Everybody has their own idea of what perfect is. So the answer is no!
I love having my boobs and I didn't have to spend a cent on them. I have great skin and hair. All of these I got from my family tree and I won't change them.
To me the perfect body is one with no aches and pains that is strong and healthy enough to do absolutely anything I want it to until the day I die. So I will go against the grain as well and say yes, I plan on living until I'm 100 anyhow so the body of a 20 year old when I am 90 sounds good to me.

to a point, i kind of agree. i remember being 12 and having my teacher call my mom because we were doing a project on our biggest fears and i put down 'turning 30'.
but by old and gross, i meant those people who can't even go to the bathroom by themselves anymore and have no idea what is going on around them. i can't imagine the quality of life at that point is even worth it.

Good point about quality of life. I suppose you just take life one day at a time, huh?
I remember thinking my mom was old when she was 25! (I was five at the time!) So when I turned 25, and my son was also 5, I had a "mid-twenties crisis" because I was convinced that he thought I was old too! lol
1) How old would I live. If I'm going to live to be 100 vs 70 or less could greatly influence my decision
2) would I maintain this body the whole time?
3) would I lose the 10 years at the end where I'd be old and feeble, or 10 of the years when I'm young and healthy?
I guess my answer would ultimately be 'no', since I'm not *so* unhappy with my body, and if I was that desperate to fit the things I don't like, I could just save up some money for a few years and get surgeries instead.
To be honest, I wouldn't mind croaking when I'm like 65 (seriously, not a fan of geriatrics, flame away!) so I'll take the perfect body, please. :)
Meanwhile I'll work to acheive the best body I can have and enjoy what's left anyway. :)
I can still have fun not being perfect. :) Maybe just not as much fun as it would be to look perfect. lol
Who gives this magical perfect body? Did the devil himself sit down next to you? lol
