I am 5'8.5". I weigh 149.5. I would love to know other peoples' weights and goal weights that are around my height! Please post. Right now, my goal weight is 130-135.

I'm a little over 5'8" and I think that 130 is a very good weight for that height! I'm VERY small boned and I weigh about 125 give or take 2 lbs. Good goal! But remember its more than the number on the scale!

I'm about 5'8 1/2", and I'm 166. I would really like to be about 145.

I'm also 5'8, and somewhere around 160 (haven't had regular access to a scale this summer). I'd also like to get down to 145 or so, any thinner than that would look a bit odd on my frame.
I'm 5'8 and 189. *cries* I'm shooting for 145, although depending on how much muscle I carry, I recall looking pretty hot at 160 and easily fitting into a size six.  I'm a sturdy wench, though.  If I weighed 130, I would look like I was at death's door!

i am about 5'8.5" too. my current weight is 200, i have started at 262 and want to be 140

I'm 5'8" and my goal is an active/muscle-y 160lbs or a size 8/10.  I have carried too much chub most of my life, however, when I was in my early 20's I was down in the 170's and I was told I looked "good" to "skinny, here eat something" depending on the friend or family member. 

Therefore, I think you should set a goal you will be happiest reaching and MAINTAINING, the hardest part.  Best of luck/drive/determination to us all!

I'm 5'10 and 162 pounds.  I was 184 two years ago. I want to be 140 to 145.  Is that a healthy goal?

I am 5'9" and weigh 198 my goal is 150-155, I don't know that I would go any smaller than this.  I naturally have an athletic type build thanks to my good German stock so much smaller than this I would look like a walking skeleton.

130 is too light for that height. Check the BMI tool. I don't know your age but at your height, it doesn't matter all that much. 140 is about perfect.

I'm 5'7.5 and 130 is really too light for me. Figure 100 lbs for 5 feet, and 5 lbs an inch for every inch over. That actually puts you at the lower end of the BMI range but not the Lowest, not too close to unhealthy.

I'm 5'9", I weigh 190 now, have for the past year, which sucks, but my goal weight is 150. And depending on what I look/feel like at 160, that might be where I stop. When I weighed 140 I looked unhealthy (like, Angelina Jolie's arms unhealthy). I honestly do not know where I carry the weight, but 150 is probably the lightest I could be without being scary.

i agree. it totally depends on the person.

im a little shorter than you all (5'6") and im shooting for 125-130 (or back down to a size 6/7).  Right now im 140, but with my frame i dont look very big at all.  125 is the lowest i was and still felt i looked good.  when i was 120 i looked a little ill.  so stick with whatever starts making you look and feel better.

everyone thats shooting for size is doing good, because the scale isnt the best tool.

I'm 5'9" and I weigh about 165. (Down from 185, which I weighed after Christmas.) Slowly working my way down to 150.

I'm about... 5'7"/5'8". my HW was a few years ago at maybe 165... i've been in the 150's for the past year-ish. (typically between 153 and like 158... wasn't trying to lose weight, really)

 

my CW is 148.5 as of this morning. i'm really happy to finally be out of the 150's.

 

my goal on here is set at 125, but i don't know if i want to get that low. i think that being in the low 130s will be more than suitable for my frame. we'll see as i lose it, i guess.

 I resent this statement. I feel very healthy and look very healthy and I weighed in this morning under 125 at 5'8". Just like everyone else says it depends on the person.

Don't judge yourself based on a number. Some people look good at 150 and some look good at 120. Its all about age bone structure and weight placement.

I am 5'8" and weight between 132 and 135. I am looking to get to 128 lbs. I am not too concerned however what # the scale says, I have been focusing on toning my legs, arms, and abs. I want the more toned and lean look and if that means a higher # on the scale, so be it.

I am 5' 8" and weigh 134 (down from 138 a couple months ago).  My goal was originally to get down to 130, but now that I am almost there, I think 128 would be perfect.  I have a very small frame and looked great at 125 (when I was in high school).

I'm 5'9" and as of today I weighed in at 152.  My goal is 143...but I don't see that happening anytime soon!
