...binge on trail mix.
Trust me on this one. It might not bother you at the time, it might not bother you in an hour, but sooner or later, it's gonna catch up to you.
It's been 3.5-4 hours now and my stomach is killing me!!
I don't think I want any dinner tonight.
We need a little emoticon that looks more like it's in utter agony!
or eat 1 1/2 butternut squash all by yourself! POOOOOOF!!!

Food hangovers are the worst.
I did a binger over the weekend and am just now starting to feel normal. Hopefully the next holiday or special occasion I will slow myself down.
My DH doesn't eat many veggies, but he'll sometimes down over a pound of raw carrots or cauliflower in a sitting. Doesn't bother to chew much either. Uffda!
Ugh yes. Almost every time I binge, I spend the next day in agony T_T. Not only do I feel huge and bloated, but I'm also increadibly hot too. Ick.

omg yes yes yes
We went out for dinner tonight and I totally pigged out.....had to sleep with my bedroom window open...I was so incredibly hot! WTH is that all about??
~H~
haley_2008 and gadzooks, the liver produces heat as a by product of digesting food (next time you feel cold, warm your hands up on your liver - trust me, its toasty!) so the more food you put into it the harder it has to work, thus producing more heat, or so I understand...

The definition of a calorie is "the unit of heat requred to raise the temperature of one kilogramme of water by one degree at one atmosphere pressure." When people talk about 'burning' calories that's literally what happens... the energy burns and heat is generated. All warm-blooded mammals (unlike cold-blooded reptiles) have to eat regularly to maintain their body-heat. People who are starving experience severe chills.
If you drank alcohol on your night out that also results in raised blood-pressure, raised heart-rate and raised body-temperature

I tend to heat up a tremendous amount either during a binge or the day after. Would this mean that my body is extremely effective at burning off those extra calories?
If alcohol raises body temp, why is it that we're told never to drink alcohol to "warm ourselves up" in cold temperature? Off-topic, I know!!
On-topic: my worst binge ever was on popcorn. OUCH.
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
