what..the...
So yesterday i weighed myself at 84.1 kg. I stuck to 1900 cals (my usual is 2200) for a bit of a zig zag effect.
And today i decided to weigh myself and weighed 84.5. whoah, thats one pound. what kind of a fluctuation is that? A fluctuation from eating less than normal? I didnt eat extra salty, not extra sweet, no excessive amount of carbs.
Can someone justify this? That is strange.
I can't explain it, but it happens to me too and I'll never understand it. lol
Could be the physical weight of your food yet undigested (that happened to me this morning) or water retention or any other number of reasons not related to sodium intake. Just kick back a day and wait for it to fall again. ![]()
I've been weighing myself everyday for over a year now and early on noticed that kind of odd fluctuation. Its normal and can be caused by many variables. The key is the long term trend.
Weight fluctuates all the time for all of us. It doesn't pay to agonize over a pound or two difference because there are many explanations for it. Weigh yourself on a regular basis, log your weights and watch that green trend line on your weight chart. It's a running average over the last 10 entries you made. As long as that green line is sloping down, you are losing weight no matter what the little ups and downs on the blue line are.
Relax! The only thing that matters is progress over time.
Another suggestion.....weigh yourself the same time, on the same scale, in the same condition each day for accurate tracking. My weight goes up through the day and I am always 3lbs heavier in the afternoon. Plus weigh at the same time like before or after breakfast because that food in you will make a difference. Last weigh under the same conditions (naked or clothed) because your clotes can be a few pounds. Reproducibility is key.
