United, I have no idea what this is about (since i'm new to the forums) but hey I'll try any thing and sometimes it just takes one of us to step forward to get the rest going.

So here i am, what do I do??? DAN
well i would be the maintainer,  I am actually below my originial goalI have tried to go to 140 but when i get there my body doesn't feel right so I don't think that is a good weight for me,so, Current (not counting christmas eve blowout) 142 should be back to that weight by weekend, BMI 21 last i checked. Fitness goal is to do 10,000 miles on my bike in 2007, (2006 mileage will come in around 8600) that would be increaseing my ave. form 25 a day to about 30 mile/day.

I do need to control myself with the sweet stuff, seems I'm good as long as its not around but if i start in on anything i go completely overboard, so maybe that would be my goal!

Maybe we could post what our meal objectives are and see if we can follow through on them, mine would be no more that two cookies per day as long as I meet some other objective say, I only get the cookies if i eat 5 servings of fruit.

I'm like the book idea, is it on line?  I really like seeing other ideas from people on what and how to do things and compare them to other stuff i've read.

So let'sget this party started. DAN 
Count me in on the 12 week life style change challenge. I've got plenty to lose so i'll be around for quite some time, 12 weeks will be a good way to get back on track after the holidays.

I am up to try it too.  Just give me a kick in the butt when you start it.  I have another challenge that I coordinate everything for (The Biggest Loser one) and my work schedule has been crazy between the three jobs.  I can do it as long as I don't end up being a team captain or coordinator like last challenge.  Oh I got the t-shirt and love it.  I wore it the other day, fits great :).
Hey Jules, I'm up for it too.  And I just signed up for the water and exercise challenges, and the Biggest Loser challenge as well.  Guess I'll be too busy to overeat, huh??  
Hi Everyone!!  I am new here but I wold love to join you guys for the twelve weeks.
jules...ive been pretty successful on my own...i cant imagine what i could do with a group of friends for 12 weeks! im a pretty good motivator :) and i know that the fitness warm up in the fitness forum has really kept me accountable...so this will rock!

my genera goals for 2007:

  • continuing my mental state in this weight loss journey
  • gym 4-5 times a week
  • 1000 calorie deficit at least 5 times a week
  • my HUGE goal is to lose 67lbs by August 20th...that's my 22nd birthday
how bout everyone else?

Count me in.  Its my first day on this site and can use the help getting and maintaining my motivation.  Particularly, in getting me to the gym. Hopefully I can do the same for others.

Count me in.  I have to loose by the time we go to Disney at the end of March.  And I want to maintain a NEW way of life going forward.  Most of all I want to be able to wear a belt and tuck in my shirt.

Jules, add my name to the list. =) I'd like one thread, one big team. A point system would be really cool. I'll pitch in a prize for the person with the most points at the end of 12 weeks. Or maybe for all those that make it to the end of 12 weeks (depending on how many join in). I'll be in Seattle at the time, so shipping within the US is cheaper than sending packages out from Canada. *goes to look at the C-C shop*.
Yeah I need to be a part of a support team for a lifestyle change. Count me in.
