Are you a female or male? how old are you? these things can make a big difference, also remember that those calculators are very rough and individuals needs can be quite different so maybe the best way to work it out is through experimentation and watching the scales until you find wats right
Nah think about it. Think about how hard you work. 2300 might not be right, as i bet you work at a different pace during teh day, not contsatly. Just eat as much as you feel you need in (majority) healthy food (cos unhelahty food can muck up your cravings etc. Treats are ok, just dont pig out). If you gain, drop it down 500 cals and see what happens.
For it to be accurate, get a heart rate monitor. But Eating over 2000 cal a day isnt rare. Your body needs it, then eat it. :) Goodluck. I wish i could help more

My calorie calculator shows i need to eat 2178 cals a day for a steady 2lbs a week weight loss. I have a sedetary lifestyle. Some days i find it a real struggle to meet that target. One day i managed 1456 cals and just couldn't eat anymore. I use the 2178 as a guideline. As long as i stay between 1500 and 2178 a day i know i am doing ok. The first week i lost an amazing 10.5lbs, purely because i went from chowing junk food to eating sensible whole foods. No more cheese, crisps, chocolate, refined sugars. And no more than 5 grams of fat per 100 grams of food, and no more than 1 gram of sat fats per 100 grams of food.
It depends on how much you work with those horses.
I work with horses as well and sometimes I think you burn more than you realize, feeding and mucking stalls, etc.. I certainly thought that I should be eating less! But I ate as much as i could-only healthy things, even without meeting the calorie goal, and still managed to lose a lot of weight! As long as I work hard and try to sweat, I am losing weight fast!
