Well Kipp...Im not so sure kids back then didnt sneak out sometimes (I know we did, hell, I even snuck a bf in a few times) LOL. Not so much for drugs though...but for parties, sure =)

Chunkyguy, one of the differences I see in kids these days is that the ones in my neighborhood are not being bussed to a segregated school NOW; that was not the case THEN. Another difference is that my son, who has an autistic spectrum disorder, is entitled to an appropriate education NOW; that was not the case THEN.

THEN - Kids were severely limited by their background and/or financial situation.
NOW - It is *slightly and increasingly* easier for kids to break out of the trend and be what they want to be, regardless of limitations of race, background, sex, etc.
