i have never heard of this method before, but it sounds cool. i would love to join. i too have to lose some weight, this past week i have been binging like mad. and since bathing suit season is rapidly approaching, i am in need of some restriction on my diet. this sounds like a good way of controlling myself and it could be fun. lol, maybe.

goal:115, I know this sounds like its not enough, but I have a very difficult time reaching this desired weight. so this will be a challenge for me. I also go through fits of overeating, which is what happened nearly all last week. By the time the calories catch up with my body, I will probably gain around 3-4 pounds. Not unless I am careful with my diet for the next few weeks.
Interesting fact: every 3500 calories not used up will add a pound to your body weight.
I know you can lose that 3 lbs! I also go through fits of overeating, especially when I'm stressed. Is that what's causing yours? I did okay yesterday, but I didn't do so hot the day before. Oh, well. Everyday's a new day. I'm gonna do much better today!

That may not be enough but it's what I am willing to try for now. My beginning weight was 168 that was last February so I'm hoping it doesn't take me another year. I would like to lose at least 1 pound per week. I think it is going to be so fun to encourage one another.

Thanks! Ya, I think anxiety is a major factor in me eating alot. I overate when my parents came, and today because I have an exam to study for. But even if I just start eating something that is unhealthy, it leads me to eat more of it. Example: today i went to chipotle - which was unplanned - (i got a rice, blackbean, and double tomato bowl = 420 cal, 8g fat) which is not that bad. But then afterwards my boyfriend wanted to go to coldstone!!! So i gave in and ate a gotta love it cake batter. now i feel like such a loser. my bottomless stomach is a problem. So, anyways, after this spiel, I guess stress does induce binging.

Good morning, I forgot to put in my age on my stats. I'm 32 will be 33 on Sunday.
Since I'll be gone next week I'll weigh in Saturday before I leave for your Monday and then I'll be able to weigh in on the Monday after I get back from the beach. That will be a scary weigh in, I always get out of control on vacation, but I'm going to try not to this time and I will know that all of you are counting on me to eat healthy and you'll be holding me accountable when I get back.

I don't know where everyone is located (I'm in NJ) but it was a beautiful day here today!!! 70 degrees. I was able to get outside and run, which is always better then a treadmill. :-) I am anticipating summer and cannot wait to spend my weekends outdoors and barefoot!
I have decided that I am going to train for a 1/2 marathon. This would be the ultimate goal for me. After 10 years, I quite smoking (it will be 2 yrs in June) and to say I ran a 1/2 marathon would be awesome! (Since I could barley run 5ft without gasping for air before) :-)

Congrats on quitting smoking. I don't smoke myself but been told by those who tried to quit that it's just as hard if not more so than to try to lose weight. Training for a 1/2 marathon is an awesome goal and best of luck.
Myself, I'm in Toronto, Canada and it's still a bit cold here. Not exactly Spring temperature just yet. For the Summer, I'm hope to be able to do a 20 km, moderate pace day hike, try rock climbing and squash. By dropping some weight and increase both my cardio & muscle strength, I would be able to do those aspired physical activities at a high level than I would at my current weight which is about 10-12 lbs more than ideal weight.

I need accountability too! I haven't weighed in two weeks but I look and feel freakin HUGE!! Like I've gotten bigger! I'd like to lose the 15lbs I've recently gained. That weight gain made me extremely upset.... I'd like to get it off for summer.

Hello everyone, just checking in. I'm back from the beach and had a great time. I did gain 1.8 pounds but as of last night I had lost .4 of it and didn't weigh myself again this morning. I will try to weigh in again next Monday. I'm going to try not to weigh myself again until then. I can get real crazy about the scales. I hope everyone is doing okay. Keep trying we can do this together.
