Hi all!! I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Mia 24, 145lbs (slightly overweight.) I have a beautiful daughter 3yrs old, Samantha/Sammi, and a wonderful husband Taylor.
Reason I'm here: I started out at 125/130lbs. I've always fluctuated 5 or so lbs. Then I had Sammi and gained 50lbs. After her birth I lost a lot of that weight rather quickly and for that I am grateful. But now I seem to have plateaued at 145. I would love to loose that last 20lbs + 5 lbs. And get to my ideal healthy weight of 120.
But it's never been easy for me to stick to a diet. I get bored easily, I slack off one day and then it's like "well I missed yesterday so I'll just start up again tomorrow..." then I never do. I have a BIG sweet tooth, love snacks, huge proportions and I love eating out.
I am not really new to "Calorie Counter" I've tried it a couple of times before, but never really took advantage of the whole site, just the Food and Activity counters. So I am hoping that getting more involved with the Forums, Recipes, Journals, etc.... I will stick to it this time.
I look forward to meeting all of you!!

Hello and welcome (officially) to CC!
I think that you will find that the support of the other members will be what makes it work for you this time.
I started off just using the tools and not the community features and I didn't stick with it.
Once I invited other members to help me in my journey, it stuck :)
I totally feel you on the things you mentioned.
I have a HUGE sweet/chocolate tooth myself. I discovered Vitamuffins (www.vitalicious.com) and they are awesome.
100 calories of pure heaven :)
And, there are some GREAT other snack ideas to be found if you hang out in the Food Forum long enough.
So many new discoveries that are YUMMY :)
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
The moderators, along with the other members of the community are all here to help you succeed in your journey.

Well Thanks for the recommendation. Can you get the Vitamuffins at any grocery store?? I haven't been able to go shopping yet, kinda making the eating well harder, but so far I think I've made an improvement.
We just moved into a new house and I am trying to join at a local gym here but the money is a bit of a problem. I just can't believe some of the costs to go to one of the big gyms. So I found a YMCA where they offer a membership at a discounted price depending on your paycheck, so that should help out a lot!!
Can I burn calories watching television?
By using the Activity Browser in the Exercise section, I found that an individual of your height and weight burns 72 calories per hour... Read more
