What does weight loss has to do with religion? Would your baby fat be offended if you befrended a non christian?

That is exactly what I was thinking.

I totally understand.  It's hard to ask someone to pray for you if you don't know who or what they believe in.

I have about 25 pounds to go myself.  Add me to your friends list if you wish.  You have my prayers.

#2&3, the way I read it, the OP did not mean that she will communicate with Christians only. She has a specific mindset, a specific way of looking at her life and weight loss efforts, and she wants to befriend like-minded individuals here, among other people.

For a religious person, everything, including weight loss, has to do with religion.

Would a carnivore attack a vegetarian for not asking them for dietary advice?

It is a bit disappointing that a body cannot post an innocent question without having people snorting at it. :(

there is a group just for Christians itis called I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST! I started it for us Christians feel free to join the group!

There was no need to take that wrong. I love to befriend non christians so I can witness for Christ. I will take every chance I get. I only meant by me losing weight thru the bible and what God wants me to eat, non-christians will not understand because they do not read the bible like I have and do. Christ is my strength and He would like to be yours too! Don't give up hope. You should try going to "groups" and searching the word Christian. There are a couple, I think? Or, on other, Christian-oriented message boards, trying to find a weight-loss buddy in their "health and fitness" sections. Good luck fniding one that works for you! (I'd help you, but I'm agnostic. Sorry.)

I am sorry if you thought that I was full of myself by telling you that but, I wasnt. I work for Him only and that is the end of it. I am in ministry and I love my Lord Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY way to heaven. There is no other way. I will not argue religion with people, I will only discuss. Have a nice day.

 I completely disagree with this statement.  Just because she is looking for some like-minded people doesn't make her either arrogant or full of herself.  She's looking for friends that share her belief, nothing wrong with that, and nowhere did she say she only wanted to talk to Christians.

Weight loss can be enjoyed and shared by anyone. It's certainly your choice to make it a religious experience.

Either way, there's no need to fight about it.

Please do not turn this into a flame war. This is not a 'religious' board, as far as I know.

The only way to heaven according to the Holy bible is thru Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and savior. Unless you are saved by Him there will be no other way to heaven. Let me ask everyone a question. Mainly the negative commentators. If you are so against God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, why comment to me. Do you think you can change the way I think? I certainly was not doing that to you. I didnt even target you. All I have to say is, just read the bible and learn a little for yourself. I am not at war and I refuse to do that. But, I cannot be quiet or moved. He is my rock and my shelter. That is all there is. God bless.

I am a Christian, actually. But I don't hold it against anyone who isn't. So please don't tell me to read the Bible, or that I am against God. You don't know anything about me.

It is funny you say that because, another Christian would NEVER talk to another Christian that way. What it boils down to is you need a heart check. Just find something constructive to do than persecute me.

 There may in fact be a need in this case.  Many post titles read "Wanted: competitive person",  "Wanted: recovering ED's", etc.  She is looking for like minded individuals to help he in her journey.  What's the big deal?  Do you feel left out?  Are there not hundreds of other groups for you to join?
