I am 26 years old and suffer from seasonal allergies (ragweed in particular), and am also allergic to dust mites (which kills me all year long). I have started using a nasal rinse which has seemed to help a lot. I found the positive pressure bottles are a lot more effective then the neti pots which use gravity, and don't have enough pressure to rinse the nasal passages thoroughly. I have received allergy testing (which left me looking like a freak show for a couple of days). I also take a few herbal supplements, bee pollen, and see an accupuncturist. My allergist wants me to start allergy shots in September to start building my ragweed immunity for next year. Any thoughts on allergy shots? Pros and cons?
