If you say so .........
So, this year I hit forty, and according to the health 'professionals' I am about to fall apart! Sure, I have taken my eye off the ball for the last few years, but I gave up smoking all the same, and I know I can get back to my 'fighting weight'!
I was sent for a cholesterol test, bottom line it is too high, so time to lose a few pounds (a stone and a half) and sort out my diet - they wanted to medicate me straight away - statins - I turned them down and said if I can't do it through diet, then we'll talk again, but no way am I starting to take pills for the rest of my life without a fight!
I found this place nearly a week ago, quite by accident and so far I have been quite good! Fat intake is super low, fibre intake is up up up .... I am rather pleased :) The food tracker is a great tool, and I can see meal by meal, what is going on.
So, wish me luck the battle has begun!!

Ian,
You can do it and meds I doubt will be medically necessary! I refused to pay or take anything to do it and I know I have a lot more to lose than you.
And congrats on the quitting of smoking. I quit cigs and caffeine a lil over a year and I am so glad I did. It's really helping with all I am doing now.
