I'm not really sure if i'm supposed to post on the forum or in the group... oy vey!  just in case... i'll do both

 

Ok... So I wanted to go to whole foods for a treat... a "good-bye whole foods" treat... I got there and couldn't decide what I wanted... I was trying to choose between a vegan chocolate chip cookie... a bar of my favorite chocolate (Ricemilk Choco by Terra Nostra)... a pint of Purely Decadent soy ice creams ... or lots of expensive fruit... and i was with my housemate ... and i asked her for advice... and she was like... why not get all and make a sundae?    And I was like... oh my god that's brilliant.....

soooo I bought a pint of snickerdoodle gluten free vegan ice cream (it is actually amazingly delicious... i was hesitant about the gluten free nonsense... I normally get full of gluten products... mm gluten... but purely decadent knows their stuff... they are the Ben and Jerry's of soy ice cream) ... ricemilk chocolate... chocolate chip cookie... strawberries... a banana... then I put it all together and made some caramel sauce for the top ....... 

oh my holy god 

When i was debating whether or not to make the caramel.... My friend was like... wellllll you are saying good-bye to eating like an American... so you should do it right

then I decided that I was going to finish off the bar of chocolate since I didn't put it all in my sundae.......   that may have been a mistake?  Up until that point I was feeling fine..... and would have still been under on calories.... now i'm 13 calories over what I burned today

That being said... i regret nothing

yeah... about 3.5 hours later I tried to go to the gym....  I ran for 5 minutes on the treadmill and felt like I was going to throw up... I actually burped up particles.... and I had a lovely pain in my side ... I spent the rest of the time just hiking up the incline and walking fast... and then lifted some weights... but sure as hell didn't do any crunches or sit-ups... did not want to squish together anything in my stomach

I need to do some dancing or something to get rid of those 13 extra calories!

That sundae sounds DELICIOUS! Nom nom nom! I know how it is being so full of sweets that it makes it hard to exercise. Don't know what it is, but I know the feeling.

I started my zig-zag plan yesterday. Here's how it's gonna go:

Week 1 (08/22-08/28) 1700-2000 cals a day

Week 2 (08/29-09/04) 1200-1300 cals a day

Week 3 (09/05-09/11) Resume normal eating pattern

Hopefully this'll help fix the stall in my weight loss. I used it two months back and it worked very well. The first week SUCKS! I eat whatever I want but I end up so disgustingly bloated that I have to force myself to eat. Then the first day of the second week is horrible because I've gotten used to eating that much so I feel like I'm starving. But then all is well because I'm losing weight again :P We shall see!

Sounds like a plan!  Hope it works lady!

 

I finished my pint of soy ice cream today... I also had dance class so hopefully that's not too bad.. incidentally....  i was looking in the mirror while i was dancing and i was like... wow... my legs have sooo much more muscle than they did last year  :)

In other news.... tonight is Bone Night! huzzah!   The trombone section goes out to eat at China Buffet... wearing silly hats ... having good times... naming the freshmen.... then we go to TJ Maxx and try on a lot of absurd things and take many pictures .... then! we go to ben and jerry's and order a Vermonster and eat it as fast as we can...... last year we set a record.....   I don't join in on the eating... I just watch and photograph since i don't eat ice cream... then afterwards we have "Bonetivities"  ... which mostly means beer pong and the like....

Hello everyone!  I am excited taht we made a group!  I have 2 pieces of amazing news to say:

1.  I bought jeans this weekend and got into a size 8 comfortably! WOO HOO! I have gone from a 14 to an 8! 

2.  I did not allow the scale to go up to 160 this weekend.  As of this mornings WI I am still in the 150's which is wonderful!

 Shannon that's fantastic on the jeans!!!!!  I'm right behind you.  I went in to the thrift store and bought a handful of jeans I can't even get over my thighs yet.  NEW skinny jeans, and a NEW goal.  When I can fit into those jeans then I'll re-evaluate whether or not I want to lose more weight.  Now I have to find a way to hang them so I can see them all the time as motivation.

So you go girl!  I'm thrilled for you!
