Copying and pasting pie chart/analyis into journal

Quote  |  Reply
I used to be able to copy and paste my pie chart and analysis into my journal each day.
Now, where the pie chart should be, nothing is.

I don't think it's my MIE 7 since everything else appears to work fine.

Anyone else have that problem?

I just tested it and it worked.

I tried it and it worked for me -- I use Firefox for my browser though -- Personally I hate IE LOL

Did you know that the pie chart is always updated to your most current pie chart?  So if you copy/paste the image into your journal each day, it is the same updating image in every journal entry?

If you scroll back through your journal entries, you should see the exact same pie chart configuration.

To actually keep your pie chart for each day, you must

  • pull up the pie chart for the prior day you want (use the historical food logs for prior days, then click on analysis, and that will show your pie chart and analysis for the prior day)
  • then save a copy of the pie chart to your computer someplace you can access with a name for that particular pie chart (for ex: 20070809.png)
  • then you need to upload (ftp) the .png image to an online storage space like photobucket (or from your isp) that will give you a web address (URL) for your image.
  • then you put the URL web address for the image in your journal like you would any other .jpg or .gif image

clear as mud, huh ;)  Easier than it sounds, but it's just like sharing pictures in your journals or online in blogs with your friends.  try it & give a holler if you have any questions about this :)

I actually DO remember you teling me about the pie chart staying the same if I just copy and paste, but I never cared about that since the percentages are below it, and I just care for that day's journal :)
However, I guess I will have to try doing that anyway, just so I can insert it as a picture :)

Thanks.

Oh, and undertherainbow...I have always had IE and it works in CCC still.
Maybe I am being impatient and not giving it long enough to load.
I will play with it some more.
Thanks.
Mine is doing the same thing MC. You are not alone. I have IE7 over here at work. Bleh. Maybe I'll try it in Firefox at home.
