Calorie Count
Moderators: popthestack, Igor

When I type in caloriecount.com I'm taken to their mobile site automatically and I'm not able to even access the regular site on my tablet. There's a link at the bottom advertising the calorie count application for the android but when I click the ad it says that my tablet is not compatible with application. This wouldn't be an issue except the mobile site for caloriecount.com is terrible. It refuses to recognize any of my tagged food and it appears not to have access to half of the online caloriecount.com database.

Forgot to mention that there is also no place to mark my days complete ANYWHERE on the mobile site.

Hi ... hmm, strange, we've tested the app on both a Samsung Galaxy Tab (7 inch), and the Samsung Galaxy 10.1. Can you give me more details about which device specifically you're using? The operating system version would also be helpful to help us track down the incompatibility issue; you can easily find it by going to the "About Phone > Software Information" section in your device's settings.

On the website, the omission has been duly noted. In the meantime, you can always access the main website by scrolling to the bottom of the mobile website and tapping the "View Full Site" link.

My 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab refuses to install your mobile app, saying that it is not compatible.  The operating system is the android-based version, "ice cream sandwich".  For now, I use My Fitness Pal when on the go, but I would rather use Calorie Count.  I am beginning to use the regular website on my Tab, but others have told me, as did the person in the above post, that it is quite unwieldy and not totally accessible from a tab.  Thanks for your continued research and improvements.

Yes, I have this problem as well. I am unable to install the app on my 7" Samsung Galaxy tab as it says it isn't compatible. I still haven't been able to access the regular site on my tablet either - I'm directed to the mobile site immediately and there is no link or tab anywhere that will take me to the normal site.

I have started using another calorie counting website which is compatible.  Thanks for reply.  I hate not being able to use Calorie Count though, because it is the best site out there.
