Is spinach or romain lettuce considered "free" calories?

I eat so many fruits and veggies during the day, and wondered if some greens are considered free calories. 

A calorie is a calorie for a reason. Water doesn't have calories, so that's "free" if you want to call it so. No calorie is a free calorie.

You have to eat a vast amount to get a significant number of calories though! So still a good choice. I love Spinach it's one of my favourite vegetables.

I guess this isnt weight watchers ;)  Thats exactly what i was thinking, calorie is a calorie. I need to double check my calorie logs on lettuce because seems total lettuce seems a bit high.  Thanks!
