How about re-sort the list of tagged items by the tag name (alphabetic) rather than the number of items with that tag (useless!)
When I go to look up a tagged item, I know the tag, but I have to scan the whole list, cause it is not sorted by the tag names!

I think it would be nice if when we search "foods", maybe there could be a list of our own tagged items that match the list along with the public foods that match? That way I could enter my tagged foods the same way as I enter other foods. I don't know how your search algorithm works though so I guess it could be difficult to implement, but it would be nice ;)
Good idea! It would nice to have a set of buttons at the top that would switch the list from alphabetical to quantity number. In a fantasy world, another to sort them out by simple food groups, but that may end up looking too complicated.
Also, I wish on the food log page the button for items you already have in you tagged list would change to a different color than items not tagged. My problem is that I'm retagging items over and over again or never remembering to tag an item I'm constantly eating.
