You can't "spot" reduce.  Your body will decide where the fat comes from when you lose weight.  To lose fat, eat less, move more and lift weights to maintain muscle and burn more cals :)

Good old fashioned sweat ... no other way around it ... aerobic activities (anything that makes you sweat: jumping jacks, jumprope, jogging, treadmill walking at a fast pace, etc.) burn fat ... anaerobic activities (muscle building stuff like push-ups, weightlifting, sit-ups, etc.) also burn fat but not as quickly ... if you're trying to shed fat, you've gotta light up your internal furnace with some type of activity that will get you moving and sweating ... i exercised daily for years but never really shed any weight ... problem was that i was walking on my treadmill at such a slow pace that i wasn't really burning fat ... i was just maintaining my weight at the time ... i would grab a magazine or book and walk for an hour ... stomach and thighs were my main issues but they didn't seem to be improving or getting slimmer ... anyway, once i changed my plan and started putting more effort into my workouts, i finally started seeing very slow and steady weight loss ... of course, i was sweating bullets but at least i felt like i was finally getting somewhere ... i switched over to a Gazelle elliptical (MUCH easier on my knees than jogging on a treadmill) and picked up the pace and that did the trick ... i've since moved on to working on with DVD's ... Shaun T's Insanity to be specific ... but one thing remains constant: in order to see even small amounts of weight loss, i've gotta sweat!

Don't wait until you lose all the fat you want to to lift weights. You won't gain muscle while losing fat, but lifting weights will help your muscles not waste away while you diet, to keep your metabolism higher and make your body burn through fat rather than your muscle stores.

I have had the best results losing inches and pounds by doing metabolic circuit workouts.  short bursts of all out push yourself hard exercise rest for a short time and go all out again.  you can do squats, jump squats jump roping, push ups, mountain climbers kettlebell swings box jumps just 20 minutes doing these type of exercises really gets the heart rate jumping.

You can also do HIIT training.

I also highly recommend and am a big fan of weight lifting.  HEAVY - with a calorie deficit and lifting weights your body will reshape faster and better.

Sad but true; the only way to burn fat is to expend more calories than you eat.  It will come off from every part of your body.  Anyone who promises "spot" reductions is fooling.

Find some cardio that you enjoy and try to do it every day.  Also, small changes in your habits can make a big difference.  Take the stairs.  Drink a lot of COLD water.  Things like that really add up.

Good luck!

Fabulous advice! Not only do you burn extra calories while you're working out, but these types of workouts will boost your metabolism afterward too.

Pair them with a healthy, nutritious diet and a small caloric deficit, and you're well on your way to getting lean and mean.

wait I know the answer!!! Set it on fire!!

haha but seriously... one of the best exercises is pushing yourself away from the table.

yup!

Well, I'm sure you all with think that this is crazy, but Fat burns fat. Eat good fats-nuts, avocados, olive oil, etc and it will burn the fat. Also, Fish oils, CLA, ALA, and cant think of anymore of the top of my head. These will work. They are a slower nature fat burner, as a posed to the chemical fat burners. good luck.
