Burning Stomach Pain While Running.

Quote  |  Reply

Whenever I try to run or jog in any sense I get a burning pain in my stomach.  This pain isn't centered anywhere, its an all over sensation.  Its only while i'm in the act of running-- once i stop it subsides slowly.  I don't know how to fix this and was wondering if anyone could give any advice? I didn't find any forum postings that matched this-- everyone was talking about side cramping.

Please and thankyou!!

Questions..

How long has it been going on for?

Have you ever been able to run without pain?

Does it happen with other forms of exercise?

Is the pain down in your belly? (The real stomach is actually higher up, under the ribs).

Not long.  Only since a bit after my volleyball season ended (a few weeks). Could it be a result from this?

Yes! Thats what shocked me so much!

Not that I know of. ETA: Yea, when I do jumpingjacks (gym class is torture)

Oops, sorry for the mix up! Mostly in the belly, but if i run long enough without stopping it'll disperse to under the ribs too.

 Thank you for the response!!

Interesting. Here's a thread with some possibly pertinent info.
