Exercise DVDs for people over 50

Quote  |  Reply

I am looking for some recommended exercise DVDs that would be appropriate for someone over 50, 80+ pounds over goal, has loose joints and am rather top-heavy so jumping is out of the question.  Need low impact.  Can anyone recommend a DVD that has worked for them.  I currently have Jane Fonda's DVDs but I want to add to my library so that I can keep things mixed up.  Any help is much appreciated!!!

I would recommend checking out New Rules of Lifting for Life and get into a gym and lift heavy weights.  Weight lifting has been the greatest thing to contribute to my weight loss / inches loss.  I am also more capable of doing things I never could do before.

This program is specifically written for an audience in "midlife" who may have limitations due to bad backs, knees, shoulders and what not.

It is so adjustable for all levels of fitness so anyone can do it.  He even discusses those who have extra weight to lose and how we have to rethink things from when we were younger.

Thanks for your input.  I will look into that.

But I was happily surprised with the snack within.
