Exercising with a 38D chest

Quote  |  Reply

I am so envious of women with smaller chests who can exercise without worrying about putting on a show if they aren't wearing double bras (regular + sports bra) or some similar type of armor.  Most clothes and exercise gear for women are made for As, Bs, or maybe even Cs but rarely Ds.  Lots of exercise bras specifically say that they are only made for an A, B, or C cup size.  I already have to be careful of what I wear in my regular clothes because something that is mildly low-cut on another woman will look quite revealing on me.  Most of the time, I just wear loose t-shirts when I exercise but even those don't hide the bounce when I'm not properly supported.  I've seen this happen to other women as well and it just isn't pretty.  Has anyone had particular luck with specific sports bras or exercise tops for supporting a D Cup or larger?  Thanks.

P.S. And if they didn't cost a fortune like all the full-support sports bras I have seen in the past then that would be fabulous!  But not necessary...

I use a bra called the "Metric 70".  I got it at Title 9 for about 40 bucks.  Keeps things firmly locked down, but has no conveniant front flap area to stick my ipod in.  Ah well.

I  can relate.  I've honestly eyed a roll of duct tape during a workout and thought to myself "I wonder if...."

Anyways, I don't have the money to invest in a pricey sports bra, so I guess I'll keep layering and trying to exercise out of the public eye when possible.

I so hear you! I started running again this year and I'm at a 38DD, too.  My sister in law is training with me and I think is a 36B, maybe. She's just bouncing along next to me and I'm holding my chest w/ my arms so my breasts aren't flying everywhere!

I bought the Enell bra and LOVED it. It was night and day compared to the bras I had. I had a Champion one that was okay, but still lots of bounce. With the Enell bra, I don't even move! It's so freeing.

I will say that if you activate your abs and your pecs while you're exercising it certainly will help but it takes focus and you might tire a little more easily. But it won't take long before it gets easier!!

I'm right there with you!
