favorite workout music?

Quote  |  Reply
What music do you like to listen to while you're exercising? I'm okay with dance music, but alternative rock is my favorite to listen to. My workout playlist has p!@td, Fall Out Boy, hellogoodbye, etc. What are your favorites?

My all time favorite running music is anything fast paced by the Black Eyed Peas.  I generally stick to hip-hop/rap with a few pop songs thrown in.  Anything that makes me want to dance also makes me want to run.

Basement Jaxx

their Music just has this Beat that keeps you going and makes you dance for a little Bonus workout as you walk/run.

I found out that I spin much faster listening to tunes than I do watching and listening to the TV.

The last CD I burned which contains just up-temple country-western type of songs includes songs like:

  • Girls Gone Wild -- Travis Tritt
  • Kaw-Liga -- Hank Williams, Sr.
  • White Lightning -- George Jones
  • Rocky Top -- Osborne Brothers
  • Indian Outlaw -- Tim McGraw
  • East Bound and Down -- Jerry Reed
  • Etc.

Yes, I know they are older than the hills -- but, then, so am I.

I love your avatar it kinda illustrates part of my exercise music faves. I love musicals and Glee, so I have the Sound of Music, Moulin Rouge, Wicked, Disney movie songs, etc. on my iPod. I also have a lot of pop, and I mean a lot like Katy Perry, Kanye West, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga (of course!!). I have tons of remixes of songs and club flows. I'm really into zumba and like to workout to latin american inspired music/reggaeton/****. And last but not least, I do have a cooldown playlist. As much as music can get me going, I need it to cooldown most importantly or I just kinda skip the cooldown/stretching altogether, this allows my heart rate to come down too, because when I'm doing cardio or something I need crazy music that pumps me up, so I feel it works in reverse as well - to cooldown I need some relaxing cooldown music.

It depends on my mood.  Some days it's Slipknot and Korn, other days Tool and Breaking Benjamin.  Other days it's all 90's hip hop and sometimes it's Bloodhound Gang.  One thing I don't do is mix genre's.  Not sure why but it never works for me.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
