Just did my first ever jog/walk! :)
Hi, i just completed my first ever jog/walk with the NHS C25K programme!
Im very proud of myself, im a severe asthmatic and i also suffer from fibrosis of the lungs so gettin over this first hurdle feels great!
Not really asking a question i was just so happy and i had to vent! haha!
What do you want, a medal? Because you totally deserve one. ![]()
I remember my first run/walk interval. I got to 45 seconds and said, there's no way I can make it to a minute. The second week, I got to 1:40 and said, there's no way I can make it to 2:00. Rinse, repeat.
I've run thousands of miles since then, but I've never forgotten the agony of those first steps and how amazing it was that I could actually jog a half mile, then a mile, then run a 5k, and so on.
Congratulations, and may you have many more good running experiences.
Good for you!! Hey starting is the hardest part once you get over the inertia of not working out it gets easier
Thanks for your support everyone! :)
I was where you are just 5 months ago. It's amazing I've built up to where my long run is now 10 miles. :) Enjoy it and keep working. Never quit trying and you will continue to improve. Proud of you but best thing ever, You are proud of yourself!
