First turn on your fav fast or medium fast songs

Sit on the floor with somthing padded under your butt. (This is to make it more comfortable if you have hardwood floors)

Put your legs straight out in front of you while sitting up straight (back up). Now place your feet under a couch or a chair to prevent your body from falling backwards.

Start to rock back and forth  (towards couch, back towards floor) as far back as you can but staying comfortable. Don't lean to far back as it will give you a sore back later on.

Hold your stomach muscles in while rocking back and forth to the music. Also hold your legs tight together under the couch for balence. Make sure your back is still straight and you are sitting tall.

Do this for 5 min the first day or aprox 1 song and slowly build it up. It will take time to get to 30 minutes but soon you will love it so much you won't want to stop!

Rock to the beat of the music. Sing your heart out and move your arms around if you want. It's funner that way!

Thats all you need to do. Surprisingly. I started this when I was 16. I enjoyed it so much that I continued. I started off with a jiggly belly and lost almost all of it from doing this along with my walk away the pounds video and my Gazelle. It works great for your abs and legs.

Actually seen this one and it works.
You just rock you dont actually do sit up? As it sounds like it is fun and I do walk away the pounds they are wonderful
Yes you rock back and forth holding your stomach muscles in tight. Then breath normally and let them loose again one you go back down. :)
This will give some people back problems according to Dr. Squat Fred Hatfield. He recommends only crunches to save u from future back problems. I agree with him.
Joelle~ This sounds fun and I can't wait to try it. I absolutely despise crunches. Thanks for the tip!
sounds like fun to me : )
I agree, this sounds like a lot of fun, and a MUCH better alternative to the dastardly crunches!!
I hope they go good with you guys. :)
these are awesome - esp with 'fergalicious' playing. its the perfect tempo!!!
I am glad you like them. I am going to start them up again. I just don't have a couch I can slide my feet under to keep balance.
another idea to spare the back injuries is to do your crunches or situps on a yoga ball :) that makes it more fun to me and you get the added exercise and strength from balancing on the ball while doing them :)
I am trying it tonight!!!
I agree i will be trying that tonite!!
I hope it works for you guys. :)
Hey joelle I have an exercise ball in the basement that you made me buy remember.  Maybe you should bring it home next time and try your crunches on there.

Sounds good, I'll have to give this a try!
Thats a really good idea mom. I should bring that ball back home and try them on it! Remind me when I come down kk.

So I put my feet under a couch, lift up a bit off the floor then rock? not touching the floor?
no Sephanie, you need to be on the ground..sitting on the ground with your feet outstreched in front of you and then rock back and forth. First though you need to brace your feet with somthing. I personally use a chair or a couch..either one or somthing that can support you without falling backwards onto your back. (I've done this a few times lol) Then you put your fav tunes on and rock back and forth. If you want to add more tension lean just a little bit farther back without your back touching the floor. Don't go to far back though because this wouldn't be good for your back I am thinking.
lol so something to hold your feet in place and rock back and forth
