What does your home gym consist of and did you add to it this Christmas?
I have steadily been building a home gym in my basement for several years. Joining a gym isn't my style, plus I live in the country so it would be a 20 minute drive to the closest one, and that would quickly demotivated me.
My parents went through brief periods where they would think they wanted to workout, but inevitably, I would just inherit the equipment they bought so, over the years I've managed to create a decent little gym consisting of the following:
Treadmill
Rowing Machine
Recumbent Bike
Free weights (dumbbells and barbells) and bench
Kettlebells
Body Solid Home Gym (http://finerfitness.ca/ffitness/images/bodyso lid1550.jpg) - which I'll admit, gets used very little at this point
Over Christmas, I've added two more things: A pull-up bar and a set of Bodylastics resistance bands.
There's only one more piece of equipment I feel like I need, and once I buy the steel and convince my brother to build it for me, I can cross that off the list as well. That would be a power/squat rack.
So what does your home gym look like?
What would you like to have in it?
And did you get any fitness equipment for Christmas?
That's a great home gym you have!
I use to have set-up multiple weight benches, a squat rack, assorted ankle weights, a flex bar used for doing assorted arm/chest exercises, and quite a few free weights. I also have assorted weight bars such as a bent curl bar and a triceps bar. I pretty much have stored most of that stuff under our stairwell, though.
Now, all I use are an exercise bike, kettlebells, assorted dumbbells from 3 to 45 pounds, a heavy bag I hang from a bar I put in the floor joists, hanging ab straps hanging from the same bar, a curl bar, a tricep bar, hand grips, and various free weights.
I didn't add anything yet, but I am going to add some heavier kettlebells fairly soon.
Wow - that's some setup.
I have kettlebells, York olympic weight plates w/ barbell and dumbell etc
Rower
and i replaced a crappy spin bike with a Spinner Pro bike this Xmas.
I have: spin bike, treadmill, eliptical, free weights, 20 lb bar, bench, step, Bosu, ball, pull up bar, heavy bag.
I often joke that it's better than the gym in most hotels, but I do use most every bit of equipment.
Haha, my "home gym" consists of four dumbbells, a yoga mat, and a big swiss ball. :) And my running shoes. For running outside. It all works for me!
My cabin is tiny, so we can't have much inside: swiss balls, two foam rollers, several pads, a few dumbbells, yoga strap, Therabands, balance disks, and medicine balls. For grip strength, I have a few kinds of the grippers, and I hang from simulated climbing holds that hang from under the loft.
Lots of room outside though: 50 ft. balance beam, olympic sized trampoline, 10x12 ft. climbing wall, horizontal bars (new this year), and two slackline/tightrope setups (35, 50 feet long). My barbell is also on a rack outdoors.
There is vary good hiking, trail running, and mountain biking right out my door. Sometimes very good skiing too.
For Christmas, I got new trailrunners, and my wife got Vibram Fivefingers.
I just have the basics at home - flat bench, squat rack, dumbbells, etc.. What I would like to do eventually is get rid of my flat bench and squat rack and get a power cage so I can do everything in one place.
For Christmas, I got a Prowler sled. I can't wait to train on it. I look forward to getting The Prowler flu..LOL I have a feeling that it will take my conditioning to a whole other level.
I have a bench, two barbells, a bosu ball, medicine ball, dumbbells, chin-up bar, elliptical and a treadmill and exercise bike I'm getting rid of. I got weightlifting gloves and pink wristbands from my kids for Christmas. :)
my home gym contain 10 machines relate to wings and chest and legs for arms i have different weight dumbles.

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
