It'd be cool to hear what kind of set-ups people have for working out in their homes.  What do you use or love the most, something you splurged on, or made yourself?, best bargain, regrets?

My husband did a lot of homework & sourced most stuff on Craigslist/Kijiji and Crossfit's store "Primal Athletes". We also bought stuff at Fitness Source, Foremost Fitness and the Fitness Depot.  A lot of stuff we gave to each other as gifts or family members gave us. We invested the cost of our annual gym memberships. So far we're really happy with everything and it's getting tons of use. 

Here's what we got:

• Squat Rack (York 204) (not perfect, but very reasonably priced)
• Bench (Body Solid Heavy Duty Flat Incline Decline Bench GFID71)
• Olympic bars: 4 (straight, cambered, E-Z curl, and my favorite - an aluminum, 6ft, 15lb 'training' bar) - All 2nd hand but the last one.
• Bar stand (a $plurge! But it keeps them neat and safe)
• Bumper Plates 2 x 45, 2 x 35 (so far) (these are pricey but great! v quiet)
• Grip plates (various weights - most of them 2nd hand)
• Plate tree - 2nd hand (almost running out of space on it already!)
• Mats (el-cheapos from Sears -- 2 kinds, the fit-together kind for large surfaces, and the squishier, fold-out kind)
• Wobble disk (cheap!) doesn't get much use, but it's cool for core training
• Mirror (el cheapo - $15)

Stuff we already had:

• Power Blocks Dumbbells - had these about 4 years. Bizarre-looking & expensive but extremely space-saving. Adjustable in 2.5lb increments from 5-90lbs in a space about 12"x12"x 6"
• wheelie-cart for above - homemade 
• CycleOps Fluid Trainer (wedding present)
• Stretch tubes - 4 different sizes - Winners deep discount!
• Exercise Balls - one is super heavy-duty for lifting after we burst one!
• Chin-up bar - not one normal door frame in our house - can't use it here..
• Rebounder  - Canadian Tire (hee hee -- I use it occasionally. Husband HATES it for some reason)

• Kettlebells (looking now at PowerBlocks kettlebell)
