How long does it take to tone and lift your butt?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm 5'4'' and 110 pounds.  Im overall thin.  My butt isnt in bad shape just needs work.  I would like it a more rounded lifted look.  Im doing exercises on youtube that focuses on butt exercises about 15 min. a day on top of my 3 mile speed walk.  Do you think this will help?  and how long will it take to show results?  thanks :)

What are the exercises?

Im actually not quit sure what the name of the moves are but these are what I do about 2-3 times a day.  you can speed through it to get an idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU5oOIk9CfQ  thanks.

Squats and deadlifts, lunges, step ups bulgarian split squats  have all done wonders for my booty.  I am still a bit overweight but I get a lot of compliments on the rear.  I lift weights I lift heavy

I honestly don't think any of those exercises are really going to give you the shape you want in any amount of time, It took about 3 months of heavy lifting for mine to go from flab to fab-

Yeah, those exercises won't help you.

All the exercises listed by dbackerfan are great, but deadlift is probably the best. Another great exercise for the glutes is the Romanian deadlift.

thank you :) I'll try that.

Can't agree more with the comments above.  I do a lot of the types of lifts at heavy weights and in 4.5 months have seen a big change in my "booty" too.  If you want it to look good you gotta work it.  Wink

Hey its nice to see a guy actually working the "booty" - I get so tired of seeing the men at the gym only doing their arms and chest and just want to slap them sometimes.

Its been my experience the men seem to think women are only into the upper body, sorry guys if you look like an upside down pizza slice its not sexy- if your pants are so baggy cause your butt is flat its not appealing.  If your legs look like toothpicks and like they barely can hold you up its not going to warrant a 2nd look -

I think a physique that is well rounded top and bottom is most appealing, but then that's just me, but talking to other women I think its them too.

Well thanks.  And I again agree with you.  Based on the feedback I get when I go out on the town I would say you are spot on.  Which is why I work the whole body upper and lower.

And I don't own any pairs of baggy jeans that I would wear in public.  Wink  No sense doing all the hard work and not trying to show it off a bit.

I agree, I find skinny legs on guys unattractive.

Agree! Also, my husband is obese, but he has some LEGS! Especially calves and DAMN. When he looses the weight he wants to he is going to be even sexier! Sad, he has gained like 75 pounds in the 6.5 years we've been together, most of it in the first 5, but I still think he's sexy and we are going to be even sexier together! Just gotta find a way to stay awar from Papa Murphy's Pizza when we are getting dinner late and don't have much in the house or desire to actually go to the store and cook a real meal :(

Have to laugh @ the Papa Murphy's comment, since there is one next door to the gym I use - you have no idea how hard it is to walk from gym to car after a hard workout and smelling seeing the pizza just dieing to walk in and pick me up a pizza to take home- which of course defeats the whole working out thing!!
