How can I loose a few inches off my thighs!?
As the title says ... how can I loose a few inches off my thighs???
They've always been a problem area for me. My waist is 23 inches but my thighs are 20.5 inches :/, I feel my body looks disproportional! and my height dosen't help as I'm only 5 foot 2.5"
Spot reduction isn't really possible. The best you can do is diet and exercise to burn fat in general and hope that it comes off where you want it. Sad news, I know, because I would LOVE to lose belly fat! You can work on toning your legs by doing lungues, deadlifts, and squats though so when the weight starts coming off, they will be all lean and sexy!
Just read your profile and saw you were recovering from an ED so just disregard that part about diet. :) Just work on toning your body and everything will fall into place! Make sure you eat enough calories to compensate for exercise!
Believe it or not lots fitness model/bodybuilders/fit average people from heights 5'0" to 5'10" range 19.5-22in thighs. So thighs are naturally if you are pear shaped or apple at optimal weight/body fat %/health will tend to be that size, height not really a deciding factor. Quick examples:

OP really, in terms of setting unhealthy goals (19in thighs or smaller) that could lead to trigger you. You may be able to achieve goals (I wouldn't aim for more than 0.5in off each thigh though, even with or without ED history) to get what you want healthy but choose a road like lifting heavy and eating enough. You have already a healthy/fit thigh measurement, especially if you are pear shaped. Don't let this obession have you fall off the recovery wagon.
Please be healthy and safe :)
Won't lifting heavy cause my legs to bulk up though? .... :S
No. It will make them leaner. Eating too much will bulk up your legs. Gymnasts are't bulky. Victoria Secret Models aren't bulky. They both lift heavy.

^This, you still have to eat enough to fuel your body and not under eat because of you being in recovery, just to take extra care :) But small deficits to maintenance should both promote fat loss (inch loss).

Quote from article:
"Yes, Victoria Secret models are doing squats and deadlifts. And yes, that is completely hot."
Thanks for the advice everyone :)
