Do Plate push aways ie Eat less becuase you can not spot reduce so the only way to reduce belly fat is to reduce overall fat
Here is a great you tube of a plate push away
You cannot target fat loss. If you have fat that you want to lose, then it requires losing fat all over. Losing fat all over requires eating less than you burn. Very often, this is accomplished by eating less - i.e. pushing away your plate.
Holy balls that just made me spit tea out on my computer
Best weight loss advice I've ever seen!
Then what is that you don't understand?
We all have muscle under the fat. Seeing the muscle means getting rid of the fat. Getting rid of the fat means losing weight while maintaining muscle mass. You can not target fat loss from your stomach or any where else on your body no matter what they tell you on late night infomercials. Having visible abs requires an extremely low % of body fat which is very hard to achieve and even harder to maintain.
Well now that everyone has answered your question correctly, what do you want to hear?
You can't spot treat fat. Genetics determines when and where fat comes off. The only way to control it is through your diet. Or dangerous and useless surgery like lipo.
Nobody said to stop eating your food. Just to eat less. But you can also lose fat by burning more.
If that's the route you want to take, anything will do - burning more calories through exercise is just that - you are increasing the number of calories you burn during that time. You can do that with whatever exercise you want. If you are already doing exercise, you can do it longer, more often, or with greater intensity.
No particular exercise will target fat loss in a particular area, so there is no one answer.
I will say that heavy lifting has helped my posture, which in turn helps my stomach look smaller than it did when I had bad posture.
That was not what you asked at all starhero. You asked what exercises to do to burn BELLY fat.
For a high caloric burn in a short time frame I'd recommend adding some spinning into your normal martial art workouts (be sure to not neglect weight lifting as well)

Yes, that was what I wanted. But almost. I was asking- what kind of exercise to further maximise calorie lost?
A combination of strength training and cardio.
Looks like you do plenty of cardio with cycling and martial arts. Why not add in some heavy lifting? Do you have access to a gym? If not, there are plenty of body weight exercises that can help you accomplish your goals.
I don't know what else to tell you. We've all been repeating the same thing. Eat less or burn more or both. Calories in vs calories out.
Use the tools on CC. That's what they are there for. Find an exercise and do it.
De Tox your liver! People don't realize that your liver needs to be in top form to help break down food and burn fat.
Stay away from alcohol is the best thing. Also, what I do is drink cran water. It is 4 oz of Cranberry Juice (NOT with SUGAR) and 4 oz of water. Try to drink at least 4 glasses a day. No its not tasty but it works two fold for me: it helps my liver and suppresses my appetite...naturally.
It will take a week or so to notice but you will definitely notice.
Take care and good luck!
jspencer- Starhero is already looking to fake science sending her more bull is not good. You liver does nt need detox no part of you has any toxins that it is not supposed to have. Drinking dilute cranberry juice will not change your liver or your life you are just drinking diluted cranberry juice any effect comes from getting more water and from placebo effect.
I second the idea of taking a week and calorie counting all the food you eat. Most people way underestimate how many calories they eat. Not only when to stop, but what to eat in general. There are foods and nutrients that will maximize your weightloss. Add in a generous amount of physical activity and you will see the weight come off.
And read around forums about simultaneous muscle gain and fat loss. Shoot for muscle steady state and fat loss. And if it were and easy road to travel, there would be a lot more Adonis's out there.
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
