So I've always been a horrible runner, so I decided to start using the treadmill as part of my cardio. I wasn't out of shape or anything when I started, I just never liked running. For the past month, I've been using the treadmill 2-3 times a week for 25 minutes. I started out barely able to run 5.5-6 mph for just a minute or two straight before having to walk, and today I ran a mile in 9 min 50 sec (and then ran a quarter mile at 7 mph after a 90 sec walking break). Is this a decent amount of progress in a month? I still feel so slow compared to the other people I see at they gym.
