I haven't previously logged sex in my activity log yet. Though I realized today that I probably should of. Now I noticed that it's only like 96 calories and hour for "vigorous" effort?!? There's no way that is accurate I feel like I ran a 2 hour marathon? Anyone know if this is actually accurate?

The feelings you get from sex are related more to the release of hormones than to actually having expended energy. Unless there is a trapeze involved, you're probably not burning much.

When is a trapeze not involved?

lol

those are called swings - and even then yep not so much in the burn.

Wear a heart rate monitor to get a more accurate #.  Wink

I could wear a heart rate monitor. I have one that's part of a EMV/tens unit. How many calories do you burn based on heart rate?

I posted on this a few months ago, and i too think its bs..  Afterwards covered in sweat, arms burning, legs sore, abs sore after an hour. The site had studying rated the same or higher.  And I'm sure I get my heart rate up into  the 150s.   I wouldn't log such a thing but one night I was curious expecting it to say about 400cals/hr.  atleast.  Nope

And if it does burn, then it might be time for a check-up -- maybe a topical cream at the very least Wink
