Are there any taebo fans out there? Or people who don't like it? I am interested in hearing opinions, suggestions and advice. I do to taebo in the morning (45 minutes) I have the advance dvd which is 1 hour and 1/2 but I am working my way up to completing the whole dvd. I don't want to do the whole thing and feel too sore and not do it again till a week later.
Tae Bo is what got me started on my lifestyle change a couple of years ago, and I love it. Billy Blanks came out with his "power round" series, which has 1 minute "rounds" of moves. There's an 8 minute, 12 minute, and 20 minute version - they essentially got rid of my "I don't have time to exercise" excuse. (I figured that even I had 12 minutes in a day...)
Now I do a few other programs, but my favorite Tae Bo I've tried so far is "Fat Blasting Cardio", which incorporates resistance bands as an option.
As for tips on building up your ability - most videos I've tried have Billy Blanks encouraging you to push yourself, but at the same time saying that it's okay to stop and just march to catch your breath, and then join back in again. Even if you pause, it's still a great workout.
I ove taebo! although, it's not a good idea to start with advanced.. i do it everyday..and sometimes twice a day on weekends before a wak or jog.i have a the tapes..billy blanks is one of my heroes! lol..i was sore the first week..but then i got use to it:]]
I love it! While the DVD you are referring to is great to do once in awhile, you may also like Billy's Favorites until you work up to the full 1.5 hours. It's only 42 minutes and a fun workout.
Oh man it's been like 10 years since I did Taebo but I loved it at the time!
I'm a big taebo fan - I go to 1-3 taebo classes a week. I like going to the classes because ebing around other people gives me a lot of motivation. BUT I am sure videos are also a great way of exercising. Start off slow, at your own pace but challenge yourself a little bit each time. Then when you are more confident you can amp it up more and do the advanced exercises. Even though I've been doing taebo for a couple of years now I can still feel sore for a couple of days after a big workout!! Good luck, it's a great way of getting fit and maintaining your health!
Billy Blanks is my fitness hero. <3 FYI, if it doesn't work for you than you lack dedication and inner strength.-imho
"Tae-Bo Changing the world one body one life, at a time." Taebo is my favorite workout routine out there. It's so upbeat that time flies by when you're working out. The moves are also quality over quanity. You don't have to be doing a million different things, just a handful of exercises correctly to execute the proper muscles.

The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
