After losing my weight, I feel that I'm in a rut. I'm not sure what my motivation is at this point. I'd like to become more toned in my butt and abs, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I want to appear more lean. Should I be eating at or above my maintenance amount? I've been strength training for months now as well, what other exercises should I do to tone my whole body?
more specs are needed to give you advice. If you want more tone, then you should be either trying to add muscle or lose fat. Adopt a full body weight training program like New Rules ... Women or Starting Strength. Eat at a deficit for fat loss and at a surplus for muscle gain.
When I lost quite a bit of weight a while ago, I did the 30 day shred (which is a Jillian Michaels workout video that consists of 3 levels and you do only 20 minutes a day).
I only lost about 5 pounds that month, but my body was lean and toned and my shape changed !!
