What's your Non Scale Victory ( Brag away )
Melkor "Hey, crow away - we're all due a little brag time now and then. ( Which reminds me, I should change out the runner recruitment drive with something new, so if anyone want to have a brag thread up top, make one ;) )"
So here we go.
Since starting weight lifting vs doing cardio all the time - all though I've gained weight due to poor eating and stress and stuff I've managed to drop back from a size 14 to a 12 and the 12s are getting baggier every day.
So what is your personal achievement that you want to share!! Brag it up folks!!
Reason: Stickied for well-deserved pat on the back to everyone ;)
I "quit" the treadmill and am exclusively running outside now...my time is slower than a year ago but my pace picked up slightly on yesterday's run!!
ALSO...I am wearing a pair of jeans from HS/college that haven't fit me in FOREVER! A bit of a muffin top but so happy!!! Can't wait to continue contributing to this thread...I've only been logging my cals for about 3 weeks...much more great stuff to come! ![]()
I blew through my goal weight of 125 and heading toward a new improved goal of just under 120 (5'4"). Tookk a bunch of clothes in to have alterations done - this will make a huge impact on my wearable wardrobe!! Fun! Oh and bought my first pair of size 2 shorts - so cute!!!
I started working out in February. First 2 times a week and then I switched to 3 times a week. I do mostly Bodypump en Spinning. I lost about 6 pounds and I was disappointed that I wasn't losing more. But the scale isn't everything!! I know that now. My pants started sagging. An old jeans I had in the closset now fits me. My jacket isn't as tight as it used to. In stead of focussing on the scale I started tracking my measurements ones a month. I'm losing inches but not pounds. I guess in time I'll also start losing pounds. This weekend I met with a friend who I had not seen in about 1,5 month and out of the blue she asked if I lost weight. This totally made my day. So to everyone that is working there butt off but is not seeing change on the scale. Do not worry!! As long as your losing inches you are on the right track. It means you are building muscles and getting stronger and leaner. The pounds will come off later.
Dropped my pregancy weight, and can now fit back in my size 12 dresses!!! But I am not stopping there and I am going for the size 10 and then straight on to size 8. Currently I have the running bug, so I am hoping it wont be to hard.
After working out hardcore for a few months now, I wore that same dress this past Friday night when I went to watch my boyfriend DJ at his monthly gig. Not only did it fit beautifully but I had people complimenting me all night! Yay workout!
I've run two 5Ks recently and I PR'd the most recent one by 16 seconds! YES!

*High-five!*
My first pair of size zero shorts...probably haven't seen that since Jr. High. Woot, woot!
I went from 330 to having a six pack at 150. So my non-scale victory is my body fat. =) From 60 percent to 6 percent.
And a resting hate of 93 to a resting heart rate of 48.
A size 50 waist to a size 30.
Next up, muscle building and a marathon.

Holy snappers Dan! You are truely awesome!
Perhaps I'm being a little dishonest. It's a four pack... but that's only because I have a lot of loose skin that hangs out where the last two should be... lmao. But I'm working on that.
I too dislike the loose skin but it's a whole sight better than when it was full!
Im wearing jeans that I haven't worn in 5 years!!
Also, I just went shopping and I'm officially a size 0 again.
Hallelujah! Haha :) I look at my profile picture and realize that pic was taken 8.5 pounds ago. I am seriously loving the way I look!
I just PRed my 5K race this morning. Came in 42nd overall among 200 or so, and 11th in my age group (30-39 males, and I'm at the 39 bracket!).
Top 50 overall & top 25 in age group -- I like it. Still want to dip into the 24 minute range, but that'll come next.
