To Wine or not / / / Working out to my best
So I usually drink wine or beer with my husband most nights a week...I am now looking to get health and had been working out.
I am going to quit drinking because I think it is preventing my work out goals from happening as well as adding empty cal's and causing bad food choices.
Did anyone see a difference after they stopped drinking?

Also I don't think wine is too calorie-dense.
Huge difference for me. From the standpoint of weight control, food choices, fitness, motivation, and more. I've seen it in people that I am close with as well, even if they chose to ingnore, or downplay, the difference.
You can eat grapes, or drink some resveratrol every day if you want continue the health benefits of wine, without the disadvantages.

What are the up sides. I need some motivation to get through this because I know my husband is going to drink still...especially with the mom in town! lol! ;)

I think it depends on your goals. If your body composition and sports performance goals are modest, then you can probably achieve them without giving up drinking. But as you become more fit it becomes harder to keep drinking and still make progress.

its just we were drinking a lot. like sometimes a bottle of wine each...That really adds up not to mention the bad food choices made in a drunken haze.
I want to be healthy and toned...I am giving this a shot! ;)
Just going to start day by day and make it happen.
I would imagine I would see a huge difference!
