60  mins  of  hot  yoga.

40 min high impact cardio video
28 min lower body sculpting video
36 min tai chi w/weights video

28 minutes intervals on elliptical
lower body weights
group fittness core conditioning class

90 min walking the dog and chatting away with my date Kiss

60 minutes total walking to and from work carrying my 25 lb backpack

4.5 hours straight clearing brush, weed eating, raking, moving rocks....without a break...UGH!

3 miles at 7:25 pace and an hour of yoga

I feel like such a slacker compared to you guys! I think you have motivated me to work out more lol.

Today I walked to class - took 45 mins. Walked around a lot during the day then walked half way home. In the morning I did a few minutes of this HIIT exercise thing just to try it out before I had to leave and that was about 5 mins long.

I'm keen to start jogging but I can't make my mind up! I get nervous and scared and end up not doing it, and I think about doing it every morning! I just get put off because my legs move weirdly when I run (some people call it 'gumpy') so I get self conscious and I've always hated running because of it.

One day I will have the balls!

AM (completed)

30 min shoulders (dumbell press, lat raise, front raise, dumbell shrugs and barbell press- all drop sets)

25 min stationary bike- intervals -1 min rest/recovery, 4 min of cycles (20 sec low resistance recovery speed, 20 sec mid range resistance 80-95rpm, 20 sec heavy resistance +120rpm with the last 10 seconds ful out)

PM (not yet completed)

30min legs - machine press, hamstring extensions, quad extensions, calf raises (mostly drop sets)

35min stationary bike intervals

Chrissy - I used to hate running too!!  When I was about 9,  my dad would basically force me and my brother to go jogging, "because we were fat".  There were threats and many tears,  and my ill-informed father had no idea he was actually turning us against running (and him).

I hated it and avoided it for many years.  Then one day, at age 37,  I happened to purchase a pair of runners at a store that gave running clinics.  The owner told me about an up-coming clinic and I said I'd think about it.   I did,  and realized it was the perfect time to see if I hated running,  or if I just hated all the bad feelings I'd associated with it all those years before.

I joined the clinic and found that I enjoyed the challenge of running (because believe me it is challenging!),  and I especially enjoyed knowing I'd "thrown off the yoke" and reclaimed running for myself.

About 7 months later I did a 10K -- not very quickly mind you,  my top speed so far is about 5 mp/h!  But I did it!

I can't say I've become a running fanatic,  but I did pick it up again last year and trained for and completed an 8K,  and plan to do that same race again this year.  I now feel like I'll always have running in my exercise-repertoire.

I found joining the clinic,  and then signing up for the 10K,  gave me the support, camaraderie, and motivation (deadline, really) to get over my fears about running, and also helped me shake off other peoples' judgments about me and my worth.  It's also really fun to set up a training plan and then tick off each weekly training run -- its progress!

I hope you give it a try,  no matter what some rude person once told you.  Don't let it bother you.  Good luck!

Jillian Michaels Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism.

I think this is one I like the LEAST of her's but hey...I dislike MOST workouts while I am doing them (except yoga). I was breathing through this one like I breath through a spin class! LOL. Also, in case you haven't tried this particular Jillian DVD, it uses no handweights, purely body weight and it is very much a bunch of cardio...i know she likes to keep all her stuff fast paced circuits to keep up the cardio aspect, but this one is hell. LOL. I actually think all of her stuff is, but that's why its great: twice the workout in half the time (or less) than it would take me at the gym! And, I don't have to leave the house, which is great so I am not missing out on anytime with my kids as they are often either "doing it" with me, or running around the living room so I can still get time with them!

Great job all you that have been posting all weekend. The weekend was pretty much active rest for me as the kids and I had two birthday parties to go to, on saturday and the other sunday. I started school again today so hoping to keep up at least a couple of hours a week on workouts. Guess I'll see when it gets closer to the middle/end of the quarter.

I did one hour of bootcamp class at my gym and plan on taking my puppy for a nice brisk walk tonight!

Workout 1:

2.25 mile run, 1500 yard swim, 2.25 mile run

Workout 2:

crossfit

Walking - 3.0 Mph, Moderately and Carrying Light Objects Less Than 25 Lbs
180 minutes.

Basically hiking to & fro supermarket to home for 3 hrs. [no car].

1 mi run, 20 min lifting, 1 mi cool down walk on an incline

I did an hour long TurboKick class tonight. It was so much fun! I'm definitely feeling the burn. Hopefully I burned around 500 calories or so!

I took my son to aquatic therapy eval so I was in the pool though it was very light...and then I stood for 45ish minutes at Physical therapy today

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
