Behold Cheesecake Factory NI revealed!!
http://calorielab.com/news/2007/07/28/calorie -pusher-comes-to-town-the-cheesecake-factory- hits-rochester/
If you are like me you have been waiting for this day! We all knew their stuff was horrible, but now we can see for ourselves...
Most of the stuff does not surprise me, but a few of the things I usually got when I was trying to go a little "lighter" did surprise me like the vietnamese shrimp summer rolls. I don't use the sauces, so I'm hoping maybe the sauces are included in the NI...
Anyways, enjoy or cry - whichever! ;)
King County (which includes Seattle, WA) requires that all chain restaurants provide nutrition information. Cheesecake Factory now has a hefty tablet at every table.
I wonder if that makes chain restaurant nutrition information more accessible to others around the country...![]()
Yeah, I was glad to find that someone in Seattle had shared the Cheesecake Factory info because I know people are always having questions. I'm in VA so unfortunately I do not have access to this info like some areas now require which is why I was excited to find this. Let's just hope others in those areas continue to share the info with the rest of us!
I was there for the first time on a trip to Vegas. I live in Canada, where we don't have CCF's so I was curious. I ordered a lunch-sized goat cheese & veggie pizza (just goat cheese & no mozzarella and I didn't eat the crusts) and it was HUGE. The "side" salad came on a dinner plate (which was fine because I love veggies), accompanied with a gravy boat filled with dressing. I avoided the cake!
Honestly, for a piece of cheesecake that size, I thought it would have MORE calories. I mean, it's still atrocious but I assume each piece would be well over 1000 cals. The lowest non-Splenda ones have ~750 cals.
The few times I've gone, I ordered the French Country Salad and ask for grilled chicken on it - even tho it's a "small" salad, it's more than enough for me for lunch, and about how many I calculated it to be (had to guess at the dressing) - whoo hoo - maybe I can eye-ball a plate ;)
Damn Wasabi crusted ahi tuna is 1.7k Calories.
i think i just threw up a little in my mouth.....

How is that even possible? Is it 1 pound of fish deep fried in lard or something?
The cheesecake stats were about what I expected (and if they're anything like the Cheesecake Cafe, one person can't eat a whole piece anyway), but those entree stats were just scary.
Even the weight management salads were like 700 calories!! I went once and go the "pear and endive" salad off the weight management menu and thought to myself "there's no way this is less than 500 calories". I was right! It was 600! That's not exactly the size meal I eat to manage my weight!
I would just like to say how much I LOVE the King County ruling. It makes it SO easy to make choices!!!
I never go to the Cheesecake Factory out of principle (I'm sorry, they are a chain restaurant. I'm a city girl! I refuse to be served a beeper before I'm served a cocktail folks... c'mon!)
I also think they are HUGE mofos for withholding the nutritional information of their FOOD (pretty ironic if you think about it)
...but... AVOCADO EGGROLLS FTW! Worth every calorie baby!
I used to love the Orange Chicken. 1,200 calories. Wow.
Although I can't say I'm surprised since the portion could feed me and a couple of friends. There's probobly like a pound of chicken there with a couple cups of rice. If you split it with someone it'd only be 600 cals, which would not be so bad.
Similarly, if you just wanted a BITE of cheesecake, you could even have a bit of it for only about 100 calories, IF you limited yourself to a little nibble or two.
Everything in moderation. Although for only 550-600 calories, I think the WM salads are the way to go since you get a HUGE portion and then you can eat the whole thing. xD
HOLY HELL.
That said, if you don't go to the CF every day I can't see harm in getting a killer (possibly literally but hey) meal and enjoying yourself.
Hahah, yeah. I don't think I'd get a "killer" meal regardless, but if I REALLY wanted something I might just split it with my mom and grandma.
But like I said, it's more fun when you can just eat your meal and not have to fuss over splitting or taking half home. It's more satisfying to eat as much as you need anyway.

I usually check on the net before I got out to eat. I want to have at least an idea, before consuming said food. Most chain restaurant salads contain 700+ calories, some without even including the dressing (usually noted).
OMG!!! Thier cheescake is soooooooo good!!!!! Probably the best way to ruin a diet/ healthy lifestyle change! LOL
OMG when I was in college (10 years ago) we used to go for drinks and the avocado egg rolls. I still remember those egg rolls!!!
and...drum roll...Over 900 calories!!! LOL I only looked at the appetizers b.c. I wanted to check out those, but the apps were all tons of calories! I guess it just goes to show you that restaurant food has tons of hidden cals...
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
