Bread, pasta, rice bloating?!

Quote  |  Reply
Everytime I eat a food like bread, pasta, or rice, I get really uncomfortable abdominal bloating. Today, I haven't had any of those foods and I feel a hundred times better than I did after eating pasta last night. I notice it more with white but sometimes with whole grains this happens. Does anyone else have this trouble? What could the issue be?

Gluten intolerance or sensitivity. More severely, IBS or Crohn's.

True dat homes!

Consider it a blessing in disguise, now you have to avoid the crap! No excuses ;)

That's weird. I have trouble like that too!! Whenever I eat ramen noodles, or pasta my stomach puts on like 4-5 inches, it bloats completely, I get super gassy and it hurts sooooo much. It also happens a bi with bread and rice not so muh with oatmeal unless I eat larger quantities. Also happens with baked goods.

Maybe it's the flour, I think it's gluten intolerance but you should still get it checked out by a doctor. Maybe try and see if you could limit these foods or find replacements like gluten free pita bread :)

Not All Processed Foods Are Created Equal
Fact: a diet containing whole, fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best for a healthy mind and body. Although true, it can be hard to keep food fresh at home for longer periods of time, and if you have no time to shop every few days, boxed and canned foods become appealing. We often hear about heavily processed frozen dinners and processed foods worth avoiding, but there are minimally processed foods that do pack a lot of nutrition and may be worth having in the fridge or cupboard.
