Hello, fellow calorie counters! Can anyone recommend a healthy cereal that is low(er) in sugar and tastes OK? Thanks!

Cheerios and Rice Krispies.
look up puffins or any kashi cereal ( they use alot of honey and natural sugars)

puffins is a very fiberous ceareal and its 3/4 cup serving is very filling necause its thick fiber content.
A serving of Honey Bunches of Oats with skim milk is 160 cals total including milk. When I want cereal, I reach for that. It's soooo good!!!
all bran with extra fiber, cheerios, rice krispies, special k or bran flakes, puffed rice
Weetbix rock. 100 cal or so for two, and PACKED with nutrietnts
But I love oats the best. So filling
GOD, Honey Bunches of Oats is SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. I JUST had my hand in the box! They were on sale this weekend and I bought SIX boxes. I'd better be careful!
Special K Red Berries! mmmmmmm I'm eating it right now.
Special K Vanilla Almond and ALL, and yes, I do mean ALL cereals made by Kashi...amazing.  I...Love...Cereal.
"...that tastes ok."  That's hard since tastes vary.  I really really like a cold cereal called Ezekiel 4:9 flourless sprouted grain cereal.  It comes in original, almond, and flax.  One serving of original is 58 grams and contains 190 cal, 1 gram fat, 6 grams fiber, and 8 grams protein.  It has NO sugar because it is all fiber and protein.  The almond variety has 1 gram sugar.  How does it taste?  VERY crunchy, like grape nuts on steroids, but I love my cereal like that.  It may not look very filling when you measure it into a bowl, but it is filling and you don't get hungry for quite some time after.

If you want something softer, try Puffed Kamut or Puffed Millet or Puffed Corn, or better yet, mix them!
I love Kashi Good Friends with Raisins or Kashi Go Lean Crunch. Wheat Chex are good, too.
Mix FIBER ONE and POST BRAN FLAKES.. it's the best, then use SOY FAT FREE milk...MMMMM.. soooooyyyy goood!

lol

Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds and Specail K with chocolate slivers, yum. Also honey nut cheerios and raisin bran crunch.
kashi is da bomb. their organic promise strawberry fields cereal has 120 calories per serving, and is DELICIOUS. i myself love the golean cereals because they fill me up for a good long time.
I like Fiber One with Honey Clusters (14 gm of fiber, does not need sugar added to it) and All Bran with Yogurt Bites (10 gms. of fiber, does not need added sugar).
All the Special K's cereals are really good!
I love cheerios.

I am not a big fan of Kashi. It has taken me a long time to admit this though :). I have tried almost all of their products and have not liked a single one. My boyfriend makes fun of me because I am ashamed to say I don't like it because it is so gosh darned trendy right now, and not to mention healthy. And then you add in the pretty boxes and the 7 grains on a mission commercials, and you feel like a complete failure for disliking their product. So to those out there who like it, more power to you. For those that do not, you are not alone :)
I like Raisen Bran or Honey Crunch corn flakes.

I also like any cereal with dryed fruit it it. Very good.
I am not and have never been a ceral eater but recently i tried one not only did i pick a healthy one but i switched to skim milk and i hate milk to......but actually it was really good and so i preportioned the box of ceral out and at one serving each day for breakfast.....i really like it alot and it is special k with strawberrys yummy

If you're in Canada Quaker Harvest crunch. But it's dense so a little goes a long way. Low sodium to.
What about hot oatmeal with low fat milk, cut up apples, sprinkled with cinnamon.  Keeps you full 'til lunch.  I love it!
