Could somebody please give me a suggestion or two for a yummy dinner and snack?!  no more then 460 calories of course :)

I just had vegetarian chilli over brown rice, which was delicious. I don't know how many calories, but I'm sure its under 400 since its just vegetables and rice and beans.

A huge salad filled with fresh vegetables and protein like chicken or tuna. You could probably add a side to that as well. And for a snack...whatever you feel like i guess with whatever amount of cals you have left. I like frozen fruit (slightly thawed) with cool whip. Or some cut up apples with light laughing cow cheese

Dinner (my lunch) = Add 2 oz (dry weight) whole wheat pasta and 4-8 oz. chopped green vegetable (I had broccoli; asparagus is yummy too) to a pan of boiling water.  Cook for 10 minutes (until pasta is done to your liking).  Grate 1 oz. cheddar (or other cheese; mozzarella's good too!) over bowl of pasta/veg.  I used low-fat cheddar (because I prefer it) so the total calories for this meal were 200 for the pasta, 100 for the cheese and somewhere in the 20-50 range for the veg.

That leaves 100 cals for the snack.  Top 100 g (4 oz) of chopped fruit with 100 g of plain yogurt (I use fat free, but any kind is fine) and either 1 tsp. of honey or 2 tsp. jam (1 tbsp. if you use low-sugar jam).

I don't see what the problem is!  I would offer help if you said you only had 100 cals left for the day.  Seems like 400+ is a fair amount of food you "still" have left to eat.  Spend them wisely.

Problem? Theres no problem. Just wanted some suggestions... thats all.

Grilled Chicken Breast Strips Mixed with Spaghetti Squash & A Bit of Tomato Paste & Garlic Along with Some Spinach and Olives.... And for a snack... Bell Pepper Slices & Cherry Tomatoes! - Sounds like a good dinner to me! :)

Oh my goodness! That sounds amazing!!

Thankyou :)

One serving (or 2 if each serving is 100 cals or less) of Progresso soup, 1 slice of light bread (40 cals) and 2 babybel light cheese( 50 cals each).

Or instead of the bread or cheese, have salad drizzled with light dressing(make sure it's light and measure-you don't want too much.) Both these options leave room for a small dessert!

A small bowl of Wendy's chili keeps me full for a long time and weighs in at about 200 calories.  (Their website says 190, but CC seems to say 220?)

My breakfast sandwich this morning was pretty filling: one double fiber english muffin (110 calories), one morningstar fake sausage patty (80 calories) and one fried egg (90 calories) for a total of 280.

A half cup of black beans with a sprinkling of reduced fat cheese should also hold you over for a bit and should clock in under 200 calories.

If you've got them in the fridge or can stop at the store, I would chow down on a big plate of chopped broccoli or cauliflower or sliced up bell peppers with low cal dressing or hummus.

As someone else said above, 460 calories is plenty if spent wisely.

I love Wendy's Chili! Too bad there isn't one near me :(

thanks for the ideas

My new favorite go-to low calorie meal when I'm pretty hungry, albeit its not very healthy :) is two hot dogs, the 97% fat free hebrew national ones which are 40 cals each but SO GOOD.  I grill them on the stove, and throw them into some toasted whole wheat buns from trader joe's (110 each) and top with some mustard, ketchup and sour kraut.  Total comes to roughly 300 calories.  Perfect low-cal comfort food!

that sounds deeelish!
