I think you didn't look hard enough...Every supermarket I've been to prominently features the full fat stuff, in fact the easiest way to look for it is by price- full fat is almost always the cheapest kind you can buy, but you're going to have to buy it by the quart.

Abali, Byblos, Golchin, Mountain High, White Mountain...

Did you look for PLAIN yogurt?  It's better because it doesn't have sugar or gross artificial sweeteners, or that old nasty fruit they put in the tiny containers.  Also it costs a lot less.  You can add FRESH fruit and sweeten it to your own liking.  I never buy the little containers of colored nasty yogurt.  Plain yogurt is the way to go.

i dont know if your in the states or not but in bc there is liberty organic yogurt at lots of the natural food stores. its 270cals around for 3/4 of a cup. it comse in flavors like lemon mirangue (sp) hazelnut, applepie, bumbleberry aswell as plain.

i agree with dm84...you def didnt look hard enough! yoplait, dannon, whatever, all those commercial brands have both full fat and lowfat/fat free!

whoever suggested Fage is my best friend and the smart. Fage is by far my favorite food ever, and the most delicious stuff on the planet. i only ever eat fage 0% (fat free...and tastes like ice cream, im not even kidding.) but the other day i needed a snack while i was grocery shopping and they were out of 0% and only had 2% and full-fat. since the 2% was only 130 calories, i could afford it and figured i could consider it a treat. it was incredible. i can only imagine the full fat one is orgasmic.

If you have a Trader Joe's around, they carry the most amazing "cream top" maple flavored yogurt. Full fat and delicious. Most places have full fat yogurt in larger sizes, rather than the individual servings.

It is very difficult where I live in Southern California to find any yogurt that is plain, full fat.  Sometimes the stores have it but more often not.  Then I can only find it in the large containers.

My Trader Joe's carries only the large container.  I wanted it to use as a starter to make my own and had to buy it and throw out the rest.

All the stores I where shop carry the full fat verson of Yoplait.  That is what I eat.

Look for yoplait.  They have the thick & creamy kind which is 190 cals per 6 oz.  So yummy...

My supermarket has "greek style" yogurt in the "ethnic" dairy section, with the feta, and the ricotta etc. Its plain, but has an amazingly yummy 15% milk fat, thick and creamy...hmmm.

Hope that helps. Me... I need to stay away from the "greek style".... but that's another story.  I hope you get to find some you like to enjoy.

I would just ask someone working there to show you where it is if you really can't find it.

Find a recipe and make it yourself. It's simplest if you use a yogurt maker, but it can be done in a pot.  Use any milk you want.  Whole milk homemade yogurt comes out very creamy compared to lowfat.
